  1. Cheers chaps. I will see how it works. Ross
  2. I had to remove an offending seam line off my Sea Fury canopy. I applied klear but i pooled and clouded up. Is there an efficient way of stripping it without damaging the canopy too much? Ross
  3. Cheers Alex. Will see what i can do. The shape is much better though. Ross
  4. Been a while since I posted on this. Picked it up again yesterday. Put most of the peripherals on. You can see the white metal undercarriage from Aeroclub. I have also included a pic of the propellers from Aeroclub too. The undercarriage is nicely detailed. Some minor gaps here and there but easily filled you Mr Hobby Dissolved Putty. Just need to finish tidying it up and then it is time for paint. It is going to be finished in Dutch markiings. Ross
  5. This I like The camouflage is coming on nicely. Watching this to see how it progresses Ross
  6. I agree with what Mike says. I picked this up at Tankfest and it is a nice little productions especially when you consider that the only other 2pdr is the very expensive one from Soveriegn Just hope someone does a crew for it now. Ross
  7. Cheers Andy. It is a nice little kit. Ross
  8. Nicely done. I really like the weathering and the setting. My only points would be that the base is a bit too big. I alway think a base should be as small as possible to avoid 'dead' space. You could probably chop the front of and have a tighter scene. In terms of colour Firefly's would have been in SCC No. 15 and not US Olive Drab. All re-builds were repainted when the oppurtunity arose. Your figure have a thousand yard stare. I wouldn't worry about the white. You wouldn't see them in this scale. I hope you don't mind this critics. I really think it is a great model especially as a first tank.. Ross
  9. It is. But then again I am a bit and by the end I was Ross
  10. Daz i'm doing in NZ markings in Italy. I have got a set of decala from Bison. I also need to add a 30cal to the turret which I got from Millicast. Ross
  11. Here are WIP pics of Dragon's Firefly that I have been working on and off for a couple of months. Not much left to do until painting so I thought i'd post up some pics. It is a really well detailed kit with some very small etch included for those who like a challege; you will note I am one of those people My only issue is that for some inexplicable reason Dragon have left out the guard for the no. 19 aerial mount. They haven't even included it in plastic. Anyone know of one in 1/72? It is quite a distinctive feature to leave off. The base has been undercoated in Isreali Tank Grey to give it an ochre basecoat for subsequent effects. The Firefly has been preshaded. All paints are White Ensign enamels. Comments and critiques welcomed. Ross
  12. I can testify to that. Got mine last year and I have not looked back. The Hunter look really nice BTW. Ross
  13. I'll be watching this How does the Fujimi kit compare to the Hobbyboss SLUF? Ross
  14. Great shots. Nice to see the Vulcan in the air But let it still be flying by Yeovilton. Ross
  15. Cheers chaps. The camouflage was masked out useing some 2mm masking tape and the infilled with maskol and then just peeled off at the end. Ross
  16. I agree a nice Javelin would be nice. Come on Xtrakit! Ross
  17. Here are the marking applied. Not the best with some not being the best regisetered and some of the yellow bleeding. Been going through a slump but I will hopefully finish this soon. Ross

  21. Here are a couple of pics of my 1/72 Hurricane IIc from Academy. The kit was built nearly ten years ago and I am only now getting round to finishing it. Bit of practice for my airbrush. The kit is straight from the box and is nnicely detailed. Will post more soon. Ross
