Jamie, thanks for your reply. I think it will be useful for everyone. I actually posted the question in different places, saw your answer and read it carefully. I fully share your methodology of photo research. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to get an unambiguous answer. On other pages I have stated my thoughts in the continuation of this conversation and also attached a photo with explanations. But I'm new to this site and apparently I don't have the rights to attach photos directly yet. Without these photos, my thoughts lose all meaning. Perhaps you will read them on Facebook. With respect to your professionalism.

Judging by the shades, there are at least three colors in the photo: the base color of the ship's side, the color of the stripes on board, the color of the pipe and the front of the side.

Hi everyone! Need help in determining the colors of the HMCS Mayflower K191 camouflage scheme. Thanks. The photo was taken around 1942.
