  1. They all look interesting Steve, looking forward to the projects - especially the Mk2...!! Keith
  2. Brilliant cut 'n' shut work there Neddy! Keith
  3. I totally empathise Chris, I've been on much the same 'diet' the last two days with a flippin' stomach bug (& like you not for the first time this year ) - hope you get over it very soon. Good that you had a bit of luck winning those raffles though....!! 🤣 (model club mate uses the same ruse after Telford each year - he's even bought a book of the little number tickets to stick on the kits...!!) That's some neat work with the brass on the Beau's legs! Keith
  4. Not as impressive, but we had four geese flying over in trail yesterday.... Keith
  5. Interesting. Didn't think there'd be the political will to get rid of hybrid with all the idiotic ''net zero'' protesters about!! That's some good news anyway! Keith
  6. When I was in uni I had a summer job working in a pub in Dinas, Pembrokeshire. The owner also owned a diving company - and a lime green 3.0CSL (and A P6 Rover 3500 with some rather special lightweight body panels!). Apparently the Beemer's engine had been breathed on by a BMW race specialist.... Went out with him a couple of times in the Beemer - it was manic. And not just a bit scary....!! He told a story of when he was being chased by the police along the newly opened section of the M4 to Crosshands. He said he thought he'd lost them when he got to 140mph and they were no longer in his mirrors. However when he got to the roundabout at the end of the new section he was faced with a couple of plod traffic cars blocking the way. When stopped Plod said to him 'your car may be faster than ours, but radio waves are faster than yours!!' He swore it was true but if not it was a good yarn...!! 🤣 And it was one hell of a car! I remember it looking just like this; https://www.secret-classics.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/BMW3-0CSL_03.jpg Keith
  7. Another beautiful build Steve, that paint job is simply spectacular! Lovely engine too! Cracking job! Keith
  8. Lovely build with a stunning paint finish! I remember these cars when they were introduced - now the ones left are classics....!! Great job on the Audi! Keith
  9. Gerry really was a larger than life guy - & despite me saying Run Baby Run was a favourite car, Baby Bertha and Big Bertha were really my all time favourites and with Gerry driving they were completely spectacular! Keith
  10. Happy Birthday for next month Pat! I loved the Super Saloons (especially Run, Baby, Run, as it wasn't as extreme as some of the other cars, it made it seem like a bit of a giant killer!) - it was a great race series! Looking forward to seeing your Escort continue! Have you looked at a slot car supplier such as Pendle Slot Cars to see if they have something suitable in the wheel/chassis spares they stock? Good luck with the move too! Keith
  11. The top boys used to do the same on open public roads in the Motoring News championship - I never had the bottle, always worried I might meet a drunk Welsh farmer in his Land Rover on the way home from the pub!! And while works spec Group 4 Mk2's would be no match for the best current Modifieds, they were still pretty lairy!! 🤣 Couldn't agree more, they are stunning! Keith
  12. I'm glad I'm not the only one Keith
  13. Some monies worth there Gary - wonder what cost the most, the Aston, Porsche or that Mk2? I'd bet the latter!! Do wish we'd had closed public road events back in my day! Thanks for the pics. Keith
  14. Just stunning! Another beautiful race car appears in your garage! Whatever problems you might have had with the paints and decals certainly don't show on the finished model! And the two Mercs look great together! Top work again!! Keith
  15. In addition to black magic brush painting skills Chris you have an extremely steady hand to be able to overpaint 72nd scale code letters so neatly - they look enormous in those pics, but we know they ain't....!! Great work again! Keith
  16. Grrrrrrr, windows that don't fit, grrrrrrrrr!!!! 😡 Seems to be a common problem with my recent - & planned - builds. But you look to have found a good fix there Gary so thanks for the heads up on the problem and solution! Everything is looking good though and good to see her underway again. Keith
  17. Everything on that interior is looking spot on Spiny, some very tidy work there! Keith
  18. That looks lovely - the Bay I mean, not that horrible red truck thing......!! 🤣 (just kidding, the truck is looking great, lovely paint, shame about the mishap with the air cleaners but I'm sure you'll soon have them sorted) Keith
  19. Fantastic detail work - and that wheel is just spectacular! Keith
  20. Somehow managed to miss this one Jeroen, glad I eventually found it as that's another cracking build - looks great, excellent scratchbuilding, paint & weathering! Top work again! Keith
  21. That is really lovely Nick, absolutely cracking model Lambo! I know I've said it before but that colour is stunning - great choice! Top job!!
  22. You and me both! I drill a small hole in the middle of the moulded on ones to remind me where replacements will go so I can sand off the plastic ones completely flush. How on earth do you get your missus to go on a day trip to a model shop, mine would rather go to the dentist....??!! Looking forward to seeing this one progress Keith
