  1. In addition to black magic brush painting skills Chris you have an extremely steady hand to be able to overpaint 72nd scale code letters so neatly - they look enormous in those pics, but we know they ain't....!! Great work again! Keith
  2. Grrrrrrr, windows that don't fit, grrrrrrrrr!!!! 😡 Seems to be a common problem with my recent - & planned - builds. But you look to have found a good fix there Gary so thanks for the heads up on the problem and solution! Everything is looking good though and good to see her underway again. Keith
  3. Everything on that interior is looking spot on Spiny, some very tidy work there! Keith
  4. That looks lovely - the Bay I mean, not that horrible red truck thing......!! 🤣 (just kidding, the truck is looking great, lovely paint, shame about the mishap with the air cleaners but I'm sure you'll soon have them sorted) Keith
  5. Fantastic detail work - and that wheel is just spectacular! Keith
  6. Somehow managed to miss this one Jeroen, glad I eventually found it as that's another cracking build - looks great, excellent scratchbuilding, paint & weathering! Top work again! Keith
  7. That is really lovely Nick, absolutely cracking model Lambo! I know I've said it before but that colour is stunning - great choice! Top job!!
  8. You and me both! I drill a small hole in the middle of the moulded on ones to remind me where replacements will go so I can sand off the plastic ones completely flush. How on earth do you get your missus to go on a day trip to a model shop, mine would rather go to the dentist....??!! Looking forward to seeing this one progress Keith
  9. Can a monster like that be described as pretty....?! Keith
  10. That last pic looks really good for a gravel set up, even given the tyre sidewalls are slightly too low a profile. Keith
  11. Looks good, bleed should be manageable. Have you tried giving the edges of the masking tape a coat or two of clear before paint - this often helps stop too much bleed under. Keith
  12. They do on ours, but we installed an extra horizontal bar in order to do so as our cage is rather less impressive than yours! However, in a competition Mini they can be attached in a number of ways as long as they meet the requirements of Motorsport UK as laid out in the 'Blue book' - which is the regulatory 'bible' for UK (& some international) motorsport. E.g. you could attach them to eyelets in the rear floor provided strenghening plates are welded to the floor inside and out. But attaching them to a cage bar is generally accepted to be the safest way. But it's really good progress however long it's taking....!! Thanks (although the credit card may not think so!) for the heads up on them Andy, some good looking stuff there....!! Keith
  13. Couldn't agree more, and I love that colour every time I see it! Keith
  14. Indeed, nice paint Nick - good colour too. Keith
  15. The way they keep messing with a format that worked well for decades is one more reason I'm losing all interest in WRC.... If it works, don't fix it! Keith
  16. Well then, personally I'd go for a red interior....!! 🤣
  17. Have another from someone who can't tell the difference between a pen and a brush....!! 🤣 Good little tutorial Jo, thanks for that. Keith
  18. Hmmm, I'm not sure about that, given the window has a curve from bottom to top, if you don't glue it I would think the top will spring away from the body? But, other than trying to (gently) scrape the surround flat with the tip of a straight scalpel blade so you can glue the window on, I can't think of anything better.... Keith edit - re-reading your post Jeroen, I realise that you mean you'd still glue three sides of the window, so it shouldn't be a problem...?
  19. Lovely job(s) again, they both look really good! Nice work! Keith
  20. Ah right, sorry if you mentioned that and I missed it! I thought you'd coloured the screen with the pen it's resting on! Keith
  21. Indeed, I'd need a ladder to reach the cab steps....!! Fantastic model of a fantastic machine! Keith
  22. Milk, one sugar please Neddy, I'll get some biccies in... Looking forward to this Jeroen! Keith
