Lovely Audi (& I don't often say that....!! ) doesn't look like you had all those troubles with it!
Really like all your other builds too - my favourite is the Salzburg 917 - I both really like the model and the way you've photographed it. The real 917 being one of my favourite race cars also helps!
Great work on them all!

Where did you get the resin interior from? It's plush by Mk2 standards
Isn't it just - leather in a Mk2, whatever next, a V8.... oh, wait...!!
Nice work Steve, it's all coming together really well!

Interesting idea with the card mudflaps. In the past I've used 5 thou plastic card, but that has the annoying habit of curling up onto the wheels over time. On my never ending Escort Cossie build I'm trying painted aluminium foil, but this is also the very devil to get to stick on. I think I might steal your idea and give it a go....!!
Delta is looking really neat now - good luck with the base!

I didn't see Roger driving
I was lucky, saw him drive quite a few times in Mk1's & 2's - also had a nice chat with him after a stage on the '76 RAC when he was waiting for his service crew. They say you should never meet your heroes, but I'm glad I met one of mine, as he was really good to talk to. Another great driver who died far too young....

The roof looks awful - really spoils the lines of the car!

Your masking and paintwork somehow looks even more impressive now the body & chassis are mated and the decals are on - it all looks very good indeed!

That's a shame about the varnish, but it's still a good looking little Min....
Weirdly I had a very similar reaction giving the same effect on just the white painted roof on my Tamiya Cooper - but that happened years after it was painted and I hadn't varnished or decalled it.....

Funnily enough there's one very similar around here - not on quite such monster tyres though!

Timo Makinen demanded 15 inch
Well I never knew that! Perceived wisdom back in the day was that fifteens needed significant work on the inner rear arches - wonder if that was true? I know Irish 'modified' class Mk1's run fifteens but they usually have rather different rear suspension set ups than 1970's works cars!
I also hadn't noticed the two sets of tyres in the kit were different sizes - I thought they just had different tread patterns.....!!
Your Mk1 is looking stunning Gary, really nice job!

My favourite gloss varnish for vehicles is either Mr Color GX100 or GX112, both are generally OK over decals, but do at least one light mist coat first to be sure. Both will also polish out very nicely - if you want to go that far!
Very tidy job on the truck, looks great!

Fed up with eating dry toast and scrambled egg and want this over now.
I totally empathise Chris, I've been on much the same 'diet' the last two days with a flippin' stomach bug (& like you not for the first time this year ) - hope you get over it very soon.
Good that you had a bit of luck winning those raffles though....!! 🤣 (model club mate uses the same ruse after Telford each year - he's even bought a book of the little number tickets to stick on the kits...!!)
That's some neat work with the brass on the Beau's legs!

Interesting. Didn't think there'd be the political will to get rid of hybrid with all the idiotic ''net zero'' protesters about!! That's some good news anyway!

Missed you posting this!
What Modest Mike hasn't mentioned again is that this was another award winner in our latest club comp and it's an absolutely lovely build! The comp. was for any 'Monogram' kit and there are those of us who never, ever want to see the inside of a Monogram box again (I started 3 of their 48th scale jets and each one went in the recycling!!)
Will you never learn....??!! 🤣
