  1. There is internal detail, but some extra never goes amiss. The stowage diagrams for the Bishop are available via google so its not to hard toy find out what goes where and what extra can be added. If I get chance I'll get the camera out and try a few shots through the door. Tim
  2. The Maquette kit was a re-boxed version of the origanal (?) VM kit, so they are the same (as is the Dragon re-boxing), so yes, lots of links to drive you mad once you have the wheels aligned enough to get the tracks to fit! It does have an interior, but no picks, sorry. Tim
  3. Good to have you back Martin. Take care. Tim
  4. This is the old VM bishop with a spot of Eduard, TLC and Tamiyas 25lber trailer thrown in for good measure. No doubt a newer version will be available before so long from Miniafvbronclub or whoever. Tim
  5. One I finished a few years ago. Used the Tamiya kit with the Resicast update set for the MMG version. All went together with lost of test fitting. Resin tracks were a bit of a pain to fit. Coment welcome Tim
  6. Ooo, nice, just about to stitch the fusalage halves together on mine. At my usual pace it will be next year before I get any paint on mine May try and cut the canopy so I can have it open so you can see the inside. Depends on how big and brave I'm feeling. Tim
  7. Hi Martin, Acrylic varnish and white spirit? Does that really work? would not have thorght they would mix properly? Tim
  8. Add one to the Beaufighter count! Tim
  9. Have a look at British pathe news real 1667.08 ( http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=51905 ) (click in stills tab and on 1sec frames if you want to see the frames rather than the film) The leading edeges do appear to be silver http://www.britishpathe.com/thumbnail.php?...record_id=51905 Tim
  10. Indeed, that be I Tim who is sometimes call Tim
  11. He used to come to the club nights like that! That was realy scarry! Tim
  12. A quick build for a change. Tamiyas 1/72 spitfire I updated to a mark IILR. Don't remember where the long range tank came from, but its been in the stash for a few years now. Kept the weathering down on this one. May get round to putting the red patches over the gun ports if I get the urge. Decals from a MA set. Comments welcome as always. Tim
  13. Well the CA attacker F1 is finally finished. 'till one of you experts tell me I've missed something Had to use flash to take these due to the usual UK lack of sunlight so some of the colours are a little bleached. Thanks to all who helped get this finished. Tim
  14. Oh dear, brain not firing on all cylinders yesturday. Why did I think scimitar? Wishfull thinking perhaps? Indeed, Attacker was what I should have put. Indeed its the CA kit, and yes it was from Hannants when they were being given away with the Meteor (which is nearly at the painting stage, but thats another story......) Thanks for the decal offers, but I think I'm OK now (baring any more accidents!) Tim
  15. Well, thanks to AndyM for his spare decals I have managed to progress the build a little further. Apologies for the quality of the photos, I had to use flash. Not sure the last time I saw the sun round here..... My semi-matt finish came out more matt than semi, so another coat (at least) of varnish required. Who knows, I may get this one finished this year if I'm lucky Tim
  16. Nicely done young man. You bringing it along to the next meeting? Tim
  17. Thanks for the advise/offers all. I have an offer of a set (thanks Andy). The "anti spill" set-up looks a good idea Dave, I'll give it a go. Tim
  18. Finally getting to finishing my CA Supermarine Attacker. Its been fighting me all the way. So far got to - But the glue spilling episode has left the decals looking like - Does anyone has a set of the J/101/stencels left over I could beg/borrow(!)/purchase from them? Grovel.................... Tim
  19. Ah, now here you go. Had I not restricted my research, I would have found a fleet air arm version, and the model would have sat in the box for years while I fould the correct markings etc for it! Do you have any details about the FAA markings? A second model beside this one would look good ...................... Tim
  20. You know how it is. 4 models on the go, none getting anywhere. So what do you do to get things moving? start a new one of course! Then you have 5 going nowhere. So what do you do? Yes you get the picture. So this time I started a kit and made sure I didn't go and find any after-market bits for the kit (the decals were already in the stash, so they don't count :-), didn't find any plans so I could not worry about accuracy.............. I just built it and to be honist, enjoyed it. Here it is, the old Heller Dragon Rapide from the box. Tim
  21. Another for the collection. Don't think that there was any tape on the intake. Tim
  22. I struggle to find time to open the boxes, let alone build anything. Do rather like the lib. And the spit. Gannets nice too. . . . . Tim
  23. Decals I had from a very old free sheet that came with a magazine from "many" years ago. Tim
  24. Think it was flashback. It was a few years ago now. and yes, I have been good! <pant pant> Tim
