  1. Many thanks to all the the above posts, this gives me all I was looking for for both my my FRS1 and FA2 builds Really appreciated guys!!
  2. Evening everyone, Has anyone got some good images of FRS1 and FA2 Sea Harriers with Sea Eagle/s loaded?, would also be interested to know what a realistic loadout for both the FRS1 and FA2 in the anti surface role would have been, I am sure there is the range vs weight issue, especially with no drop tanks if two Sea Eagles are loaded. Any help much appreciated Regards Paul
  3. Afternoon all, With the release of the 1/48 Kinetic F-16A MLU, can a F-16 ADF be built from the box contents? I know the pylons for the AIM-7's are not included, although these can be found in some of Kinetic's F-18 kits, the modified ADF tail with bulges is included in the kit, is the port side fuselage light included? Have I missed anything else? Most importantly what are peoples thoughts on the kit overall, anywhere near the Tamiya F-16C quality and accuracy? Many thanks Paul
  4. I feel exactly the same, plus Eagle, Victorious and Hermes (Bucc & Sea Vixen)
  5. Many thanks for posting Wellsprop, will we get a small light grey Phoenix on the line aircraft?
  6. Personally I would have preferred the B fleet to be FAA only and get the A version for the RAF which would have suited their needs better. The ideal would have been C's for the FAA and cats and traps on the QE class but it wasn't to be.
  7. FAA usually sports the parent deck letter on the tail eg: H for Hermes
  8. If I would made the decision on which FAA squadron to go for I would have used 800NAS with the large red triangle with the trident inside in white, similar to the FA2's, and full Royal Navy titles, unfortunately I am not.
  9. Many thanks guys, hopefully we will all find out in the not too distant future, it will be a shame, especially from a modelling prospective if all traces of squadron identity disappear in the F-35B fleet (FAA & RAF). Regards Paul
  10. I should have read what you posted a bit better
  11. I am sure 617 has the lightning bolt flash on the tail which has appeared on tornados before hand so not linked to the aircraft s name, not seen anything on the OCU aircraft Regards Paul
  12. Hi Wellsprop Link below saying it will happen this week https://www.raf.mod.uk/our-organisation/stations/raf-marham/news/809-nas-re-commissioned-as-the-second-frontline-f-35b-lightning-squadron/ Just waiting to see what the F-35 will look like, hopefully not toned down like the Joint Force Harriers, much presfer to see the RN titles etc. Regards Paul
  13. Hi all, With 809NAS re-commissioning this week at RAF Marham has anyone seen images of what the F-35B's will look like? will they have full Royal Navy titles and squadron badges? Very keen to see any images if they exist, especially with the imminent release of Tamiaya's 1/48 F-35B. Regards Paul
  14. Many thanks guys, much appreciated!! Have a great New Year
  15. Many thanks all, Do you guys think the AERO 3B was attached to the standard S2C pylon, would there be an adaptor in between?
  16. Morning all, This is the only image I could find of S2C's from HMS Eagle at Lossiemouth, circa 1971 with AIM-9B's fitted. Does anyone know what type of pylon would have been used? as the S2C's were fitted with the short pylon, not sure if the later long pylons fitted to S2D's would have been available in 1971. Any help would be appreciated as this load out makes a nice change from the usual bombs or rockets Image credit goes to FAABA Homepage 800NAS Regards Paul
  17. Couldn't agree more wadeocu, I think we will be very fortunate to see that many boxings, realistically I can see an RAF maritime strike as the Martels are already there and you can have an early scheme with the light aircraft grey underside and a later wrap around, early/mid 80's plane. The big sales earner will be an Op Granby/90's Bucc, they will have already moulded the relevant parts for an S2B, so just need the ALQ, Pave Spike, AIM-9 and a Paveway, so will probably be last so as to rinse the most out of these moulds. Regards Paul
  18. Forgot to say, the new buccaneer kits, 1/72 & 1/48 from Airfix are superb!! only usually build RN stuff but the kits are so good they warrant a 12 & 208 maritime strike build, 12 with a full suite of Martels, and a late all grey 208 with four Sea Eagles. Will be interested to see what is included in the RAF 1/48 Bucc? time will tell??
  19. Wadeocu & Petetasker, Really appreciate your help!!, The image you supplied wadeocu shows the pylon to good effect, looks like a standard long pylon can be used for the lower section with some scratch for the top section where the angle changes at the leading edge of the pylon, very doable I think. Petetasker thanks for the 801NAS on the Vic image shows the Bullpup was in squadron service with S2's until at least 1966. Many thanks again Regards Paul
  20. Evening all, Was hoping someone might have some good images of the pylons used to mount Bullpup AGM's on RN Buccaneers. From the limited images I have I can see that the pylon is very different from the standard S2C pylon, if anything it looks more like the pylons found on S2D's & B's, but slightly deeper. I know these were not a regular fit, but I feel it gives the pre martel/sea eagle Bucc's a nice look. Any help would be appreciated Regards Paul
  21. Hi Have you managed to find that Aviation Workshop Decal sheet? if not I have a feeling I have that sheet as I purchased it for the RN subjects (1/48) only. Let me know and I will have a look later Regards Paul
