So sad to wake up the news that an unknown number of enthusiasts have lost their lives along with two irreplaceable beautiful aircraft. Such a horrific way to go. Hopefully it will turn out that very few people were on the B17.

Holy thread revival! Did this ever get going again?

Trumpeter quality seems really variable. I am just finishing a T-54B and the kit was terrible. Your tiger looks very good!

I have just got the RFM Wittman tiger with interior, looking forward to seeing yours as it progresses.

Similar position here, I got a 1/24 Hellcat for my 50th and that got the enthusiasm going. I have done a Revell Huey, couple of ICM kits, some Tamiya stuff. and then went for a Rye Field Tiger. Wow! Just wow! The Hellcat was awesome and showed Airfix are a very different animal from what I knew on the 70s/early 80s abut the RFM kit is another level. In terms of value, I don’t bat an eyelid bout spending a good few quid on a night out, but a decent kit takes many many hours and is ‘cheap’ by comparison.

Just to let you know that the puzzle security thing for signing up won’t work on iPads. I tried on two and I couldn’t get it to work. Ended up on the tiny screen on my phone which worked but was a pain. Glad I managed to get it working, great site!
