Hello,
I have a question regarding the F6F-3 landing light.
I read in the Detail&Scale book that the landing light was originally located on the port underwing of the aircraft. After the 272nd aircraft, it was relocated to the leading edge of the wing.
Would someone know what was done with the original location underwing ? Was it covered with a circular plate, of was the corresponding panel replaced by a plain one without any reservation for the landing light ?
I am starting an F6F-3 and Eduard provides by default the underwing light. Mine is supposedly without the port underwing light, so I would like to know if I have to fill and sand smooth eevrything or if I have to engrave a circular cover plate ? I couldn’t find any picture to help me figure out this point.
Thanks in advance for your help
regards
Yann
