  1. Actually I have found most LMSs don't stock it but stock Plastruct instead which is OK but has a far smaller range of sizes. KFS stock it www.kitformservices.com As does Dave Armstrong over in Durham but I don't know if he has a website. Trades as Armstrong Bases. Chris
  2. I have been after a small model makers lathe for some time, and I can afford one now. So here are my options. One of my main concerns is lack of space, so it HAS to be movable and storable. So I'm really down to one of these. Sieg C1 - Heard good things about this (www.axminster.com) Unimat 4 - Heard bad things about the earlier ones MJ189 - Appears to be a rebranding of the Unimat but heard better things about them Clarke CL250 - A little bit more expensive but heard they are prone to motor burnout. OK I know that a small Myford or Boxford would probably be a better machine but at this time something big and unmovable is simply out of the question. Any comments anyone?
  3. Hey heres my first finished build piccy on here, an excellent pic taken by PTCruiser at Telford. It started life as the Italeri MAN TGA and 20' container trailer. However I doctored the TGA somewhat to represent a 6 legger and converted to right hand drive etc. As for the trailer I used the chassis and stretched it and added different running gear. The rest, basically everything yellow is scratchbuilt. Its a bulk potato trailer known round here as a 'tatie bulker'.
  4. I had this problem for ages. I have a compass cutter and a punch and die set but there was a gap of about 5mm betwen the two. I bought one of those hole punching kits. A bit like a pipe with a solid end and an open sharpened end. You apply the sharpened end to the job, and a hammer to the other end. I've used them on 60 thou card! Wolfie
