  1. Thanks guys - appreciate you both taking the time to give your experience and feedback. I’ve taken a sabbatical over the summer and really need to get back on the horse. Will post with the layering as and when I get to it and let’s see how it turns out …
  2. Thanks @Pedagogue54I’ll pick one of those up then - I just worried the cheap ones may leak/offer poor connection.
  3. Can anyone recommend a good quality quick release fitting for a compressor ? I had a brass Badger one that was gifted to me, but I appear to have lost it. Are the ones on Amazon for a few quid any good ? (Doesn’t need to have flow control)
  4. OK - you got me - The Witterings do trump Pevensey in lots of ways, apart from the fact they are INSANELY popular and horribly busy in the summer !! Costa del Pev as we affectionately call her is quiet, easy to park - has a nicely cleaned and maintained toilet and a convenience store just round the corner that sells reasonably priced ice creams Im sure however the Witterings are a wonderful place to visit off peak (we last went in August 😬) In fact the last time we went, we saw a pilot come over and do the most wonderful little aerobatic display -and seemingly just fit the hell of it. I don’t know the technical term for when it looks like the plane has stalled and is falling uncontrollably out of the sky - but they did this several times, along with loops and barrel rolls - it was fantastic !
  5. Well I suppose that Crawley does have a good IMAX and a good shopping centre. Not sure what else you Westies have over us 😂
  6. For anybody else considering this option I can also up vote the Lumi Daylight lamp that @Seahawk mentioned in the list above. I also found the same supplier to be the best value and along with an optivisor and or some reading glasses they have changed my ability to attend to fine detail completely.
  7. The weather was kind and the view was equally lovely Thanks for asking
  8. Based on the above it very much sounds like an upping of the pressure is perhaps required. It’s actually my birthday as well and I think that the birthday fairy is buying me a new toy - so I could try with that 😜
  9. To add - I spray very well thinned (between 60 and 70 percent thinner with alcohol based paints) and with Tamiya Acrylic Mr Hobby Aqueous AK Real Color Vallejo Metal in that order of frequency.
  10. Well it’s all aboard, all front four carriages reserved for the n00bs 😂
  11. Just to say that I am too getting the error - pretty much every time I use the site.
  12. When I was Tunbridge Wells based it was always most straightforward to get the train straight to Hastings, now from Crowborough it’s easier (and quicker) to drive to Eastbourne or our favourite beach at Pevencey Bay - which in fact is where we are going today, first time to the beach this year and the British weather actually looks like it’s going to be OK 👌!!
  13. I tend to run low - my Sparmax SP20X and Iwata Eclipse run nicely at 8-14 psi.
  14. Chris - thank You for going to all that effort 👍🏻- much appreciated. I tried using it again tonight and I’m still struggling with flow. The jar and tube just doesn’t pull and the cup is either ‘on’ or ‘off’ My cup is just like the one you have at the left of your second image and my lid is the same as the lid in the second image at the top - just more used !!
  15. Crowborough, East Sussex - about 10 miles south of where I was raised and went to school in ‘Royal’ Tunbridge Wells no less ! Used to go to a Hastings a lot as a young teen - the arcades were a big draw. Straight on the train, no changes in an hour and the likes of Outrun, Mortal Combat, Rolling Thunder and Double Dragon were there with their flashing lights and amazing sounds - I loved Hastings !
