  1. I'm by no means a WRC or rally expert of any kind so I'll just sit in the background and admire the attention to detail and push for accuracy. Great start to what promises to be a very interesting build.
  2. Wot Keith said. It would be awful to lose the work you've put into it at such a late stage - and with it looking so good at this point.
  3. Looks very promisin', the stance is just ri'ht. 'reat work so far. (Note trendy absence of Gs) 🙂
  4. Just acquired this pre-owned from KingKit for not-very-much-at-all plus postage... Generally I'm not a fan of BMWs but this has always been one of the very few exceptions - I love the comparatively non-testosterone-infused styling and those doors....ooooh those doors....are the ultimate in cool IMHO. The kit itself dates back to the 1980s and looks it - yellowed instruction sheet and very weathered box - but it's checked and guaranteed complete by KingKit (I love those guys) and for a tad less than twenty smackers I couldn't resist it.
  5. This looks interesting, I'll tag along if I may. I personally don't "get" the rat rod look but I love the creativity so it'll be good to see how this develops.
  6. Hi, from a fellow car modeller. Of course there will be interest, look forward to seeing you in the WIP threads.
  7. As all the others have already said - stunning build. Beautifully finished and detailed.
  8. That's one amazing find, you're right to be delighted. There's a complete on currently on FleaBay priced at £200. Rare as 🦄💩!
  9. Hi Stephano, from another car modeller! You might have been tempted back to the Dark Side but it would be good to see some of your car models at some point. 🙂
  10. There you go Keith, all you need now is a V8. Or two...
  11. I only came in on the final stages of this build but it was fascinating to watch it progress and I really admire the result.
  12. That is amazing. Ingenious, seamless combination of kit- and scratch-building. Having followed the final build stages I have to smile at the last few touches, specifically the application of lumps of noisome 💩 in strategic places - extremely effective!
  13. ...or a Russian jet fighter? 😁
  14. I'd appreciate that - who or what are S27?
  15. Hi, from a fellow car modeller in deepest Kent! I reckon the best place to post would be in the Vehicle Discussion sub-section of the Vehicle Modelling (non-military) section. Here's a link...
  16. Loud? That's the sound of Freedom! Nice workaround - literally. Well executed too.
  17. Nice work on the upholstery, you've captured the '60s vinyl look pretty well - sadly I'm old enough to remember it!
  18. Hi Richard, from another car modeller!
  19. Someone with too much "time" on their hands? (Sorry, I'll see myself out...)
  20. Sorry Jeroen, you don't normally equate tipper drivers with "careful"... 🙂
  21. Definitely. It needs to be something a bit lairy!
  22. Looks superb! All it really needs is for the rear bumper bar to be bent a bit at one end and for one of the rearlamp glasses to be broken. 😁
  23. Now, this sort of project is right up my street. Pure Dagenham - i.e. two stops on from Barking! Great choice of wheels, they really suit the project. I'm definitely sticking around for this one. Anyone for more coffee? ☕

Hi Chris and . I'm primarily a car modeller but to my eyes they're a pair of fine models, nicely detailed and beautifully finished. Nice work.
