  1. Interesting point about the nose gun in the Finnish Ansons. I know they usually did not have the turret machine gun installed, but a Finnish L33/34 7.62 mm could be installed. I did manage to find another picture of the Estonian Anson, looks like the turret opening has been closed with plywood or similar... Picture on page 39 in this PDF: https://dc-ry.fi/Ext/Tahtimoottori_2018-1.pdf
  2. Greetings all, I will (eventually) be building my Airfix 1:48 Avro Anson as the Estonian "158". There seems to be very little information about this plane, I've tried searching in Estonian as well but so far only one actual photograph found. But here's how I think the plane was configured - please correct and enlighten me if I'm wrong. Overall painted aluminium, polished metal cowlings Sloping windscreen No DF antenna No turret machine gun - in this case I would assume the opening for the gun will be covered in Perspex (or similar)? This seems to be the case in a photograph of a Finnish Anson (AN-101) from 1936. No fixed machine gun in cockpit - I understand this was mainly used in coastal patrol aircraft. Twin controls - 158 was used for training purposes so this makes more sense than single controls. Further suggestions are more than welcome!
