  1. A little update - kit comes with an option to have a cover on the muzzle and also the hull machine gun, not decided whether to use them or not, but it looks good... Turret progress.. I also found amongst my box of figures and old resin tiger crew from scale model accessories, so will use these (I hope) Most of the wheels ready for primer I had to go into the attic for a suitcase at the weekend and accidently found a Tamiya tiger 1 mid production, may find a way to do that as well, depending on my progress with this!
  2. The joy of all steel wheels!! I am not looking forward to the painting of my 48 rubber wheels lol
  3. Well, I have built a border model panzer 4 and was impressed with it and the way they go together compared to dragon. There has been more flash on this in comparison to the MK IV though.. This is the first tiger I have built for more than 15 years, and that was an old Italeri kit I got from a show for £10 so it is quite the novelty for me lol
  4. Well I found time to make a start! Sprue shot first Iron cross in the box... not sure why, but there you go! and the etch with the barbed wire Started the build as below Torsion bar suspension now fitted, its not workable but nevertheless its in place, wheels in the process of being cleaned up and the rear plate to be fitted next... Thanks for looking
  5. That's a lot of plastic for a small kit!
  6. Looks good, although I am not sure I have ever seen this kit! Where have I been!!
  7. Yes, there is an etched fret of barbed wire. there really is a load of extras - I will take some more pictures
  8. I have made a couple of their Mk IV tanks and have been impressed.. Hope this is as good
  9. I will be attempting to build this for the GB, from the box, scheme to be decided in the next few days..
  10. I will try to do this, I have a border model tiger and maybe a Tamiya one in the loft...
  11. Continuing with the build, and very happy with the time extension!! Interior walls are done and now primed, (not pictured painted) I have the lower hull primed and ready to paint. I have also had to rethink the masterclub tracks as they don't fit the kit sprockets/drive wheels, so back to the kit tracks... In between building the gun I will be painting the lower hull ready for the tracks..
  12. Well, it is a hobby and I have struggled for time to partake in it. I doubt I will finish this before the deadline, but we'll see. Hopefully the build will be completed! There is an engine supplied with the kit but I had no intention of showing it so was able to skip a couple of stages. The wheels are painted, I was trying out new paints on something else and had primed the wheels previously, so, it was the right colour... Started the tracks, but have decided to not use the kit supplied magic tracks, I have a set of masterclub tracks so am going to use them instead... I have started the superstructure as can be seen here. I have to say dragon instructions are in places very vague on where some parts go... lots of checking of photos and test fitting! Hopefully more to show soon!
  13. Well, I have made some more progress, although it has been slow, work and then holiday stopped me, but, now back at it and hopefully more pics over the next few days!!
  14. Thats a wow from me!!! Never seen that before! Plan for the invasion perhaps??
  15. Thats a great little kit, lots of options!!
  16. Managed to get a start yesterday. Nice touch in this kit is there are 2 different options for the rear idler wheels and the drive sprockets. I have chosen the variants that appear in most of my reference photos and pictures. They also give options on the suspension springs, but I haven't bothered checking these too much as they will be largely unseen behind the road wheels, but a nice option for someone I am sure! Anyway, clean up on the wheels and suspension complete and the lower hull ongoing! I am deviating a little from the destructions as I want to get the lower hull painted and weathered before adding the wheels and tracks.. ready for the rear plate!
  17. The Ausf H doesn't look too bad there, the first 38(t) i ever built was the Italeri kit and went together very well from memory, just the tracks that were poor..
