  1. A cracking build. Looks the part and hard used. Regards Pete
  2. I had to include this one. Not only a superb voice, but it was one Christmas song (apart from Carols) that my Mum would sing along to. Man, that's made the hair on me neck stand up. Enjoy. This is,,,, welll,,, just because. Keep em coming gents. I know not all of our Members will celebrate Christmas, but I am sure that there is tons of different music for the season out there. Regards Pete
  3. You were doing so well there, and then,,,,, Grrrrr,,,,, Wham. You then had a miraculous recovery, so we'll let you off with a Scarborough warning. Jona Lewie - I know that folks don't count it,,, but it was deliberately released as a Crimbo song AND it mentions Christmastime several times. Unlike others,,,,grrrrrrrr. Sorry, came over all Mr. Blobby then.😖 Keep em coming chaps. Regards Pete
  4. Oh my cotton socks..... I'd completely forgotten them. Thank you for dragging old memories into the light. Brilliant. Regards, Pete
  5. Nearly my friend. As it was a joke, it's only a yellow card. Be good, the Big Guys watching.🎅 Regards, Pete
  6. Shouldn't it be Mr. Edd? Regards Pete
  7. I know there's a couple of music threads, but let's put all the Crimbo music in one spot eh? Couple of rules tho - DO NOT put Mariah Carey in any way shape or form. If'n you're tempted, the fleas of a milion camels will immediately infest your undercrackers.😜 DO NOT attempt to put East 17 in a post. IT'S NOT A CHRISTMAS SONG. They just put some bells on the track and did a stupid video in snow suits. There is a very special circle of hell reserved for them. Okay, now I've calmed down, I don't care what genre of music (except maybe rap 🤔), so let's see what we can come up with worldwide to celebrate the Season. Got one I've just discovered and it kinda floated my boat. Regards Pete
  8. Looks great! Just the right amount of dust to make it authentic. Regards Pete
  9. Can't comment on the photography as I was really bad at it. However, your model looks brilliantly grimy and covered in cr*p, so it gets a big 👍 from me. Regards Pete
  10. As far as I know (which isn't too much in the grand scheme of things), the WOp didn't actually have a chair/seat in the strictest definition of one. He sat in an upholstered cutout on the main spar, which indeed faced forward. No sure why they would include another seat in that area tho. I know on other ops they carried extra bods for shovelling window out (D Day especially), as well as other additional crew members, but always assumed they either took up the rest bed (if fitted), or sat on the deck till needed. Please tho, there is no criticism intended in the build by any of my ramblings and I am looking forward to seeing it continue to completion. Regards Pete
  11. Beautiful. I think that is my Best in Show for this week, if that means anything to anyone other than myself. Regards, Pete
  12. Never been a "jet" fan. However, the Lightning holds a special place for me. I understand that the kit has "issues" but yours looks mightily like a lightning to me and the finish is impeccable. Many thanks for sharing. Regards, Pete
  13. Depends on which branch of any given Government you want to believe. Aren't they the ones who tried to persuade us (and the world) that we had no need for pilots at all? Regards Pete
  14. She's Big, Very Beautiful and oh so British. Very well done. Superbly modelled. Regards Pete
  15. Lovely build, lovely finish! Forgive a "bone" question tho. What are the two large gas bottles in front of the driver/machine gunner? Oxy/acetylene maybe, in order to cut yourself out in times of need? Regards Pete
  16. Try these guys. Brilliant live, excellent musicians and some brilliant covers.
  17. Bl***y hell mate! That is astounding. Went backwards and forwards trying to find the pics of your model cos I thought they were reference pics. Stunning techniques in painting. Am amazed and truly blown away. You deserve all the plaudits. Regards, Pete
  18. Beautiful work. It must be a fairly sizeable beastie. I can remember standing next to one of those Scammel tractor units as a kid and it was huge. Regards Pete
  19. A lot of folks around here campaigned to get the Yorkshire Air Museum to take the Beverley but it ended up at Paull as you so rightly said. The shame was that I went and saw her there and she was still in a reasonable shape. Unfortunately the guy in charge cared not a jot and the exterior was showing its age. No idea where it went next as everything was sold at auction, the Beverley included. It's probably in some scrap yard awaiting demolition I fear. My brother in law and my uncle worked on these beasties and they were a very common sight around here. I will be watching your build with interest, good luck and do the old lady proud. Regards Pete
  20. Looking forward to your build. Something at the very back of a befuddled mind is telling me that the flight engineers panel was a different layout in the Mk10. I haven't access to my books (pilots notes specifically) so can't be sure. It may be worth a check tho before you use the etch set. Regards, Pete
  21. Beautiful, beautiful work again and the explanations of the weapon etc are enthralling. A question tho. Didn't the aircraft all have /G stencilled after the serial no? As usual I may be very wrong. Looking forward to seeing this beastie completed. Regards, Pete
  22. What I know about helicopters could be printed on a full stop. But, as far as I am concerned, that wins Best In Show by a long way. Regards Pete
  23. I had a go at cage fighting this weekend. Nobody told me those damned Budgies were vicious! Regards Pete
  24. Check out a "group" called Sinfonity - their version is just amazing and all played on electric guitars. Regards Pete
