  1. I did buy a cheap airbrush during lockdown, i didnt want to get an expensive one incase i didnt like it or couldnt use it well. But i couldnt quite get to grips with it, sometimes it worked great, sometimes not at all and i dont know if its the cheap airbrush or my lack of skills. I do plan on getting some hands on help at some point to work out whats wrong (hence my asking about modelling clubs in another post) but for the short term spray cans are easier.
  2. Hmm, interesting information...maybe I should stick with the acrylic version...but im not sure which one is the acrylic on that page i linked
  3. Cool, good to know, will try the enamel one first i think, I found an enamel based primer that works well on plastic Do you know what the difference is between the enamel and cellulose? Is it just simple stuff like consistency and drying times or is it more complicated? Also do you know which of those 4 options is the acrylic one? Only they mention acrylic on the right but not on the 4 options on the left
  4. So I am having issues finding acrylic spray paints in certain colours, namely Light Aircraft and Barley grey. A google search brings up a few custom paint manufacturers (ill link one below) but i dont know if they are suitable for use on plastic models? https://www.ralaerosols.com/product/standard-colours/british-standard-colour-aerosol-spray-paint/bs-381c-colour-range/bs-381c-camouflage-grey-626-aerosol-spray-paint-can/
  5. Just wondering, is there a list of shops online? I have no idea where my local model shop is anymore...the only thing i could find is a model railway shop. Also, same question for modelling clubs? I really could use some hands on help with airbrushing
  6. Ok those look good...no Warthog pylons though...may just have to make my own from some 1mm styrene
  7. So after a gap of around 20 years (mostly spent playing video games) I bought a few models during lockdown and and slowly working my way through. But what I am wondering is....back then I had a big mail order catalogue with loads of spare parts, conversion kits and decals that would let you customise your model...is there anything like that around now? For example, I found an old snaptite model of an A-10 thats missing its weapon pylons and I wondered if I could get spares...a google search proved fruitless
