Seems to me the Veeday Flycatcher/Gamecock set share the same fuselage? unless there are parts missing from my box...

Provenance as in the origin of the Veeday models. Are they someone else's moulds? I have the Pegasus Gamecock and wondered if it was the same? -despite its crue look, I have so far found it a really good model, a challenge let's say!

Anyone know the provenance of the 1/72 Veeday Fairey Flycatcher? Also the Gloster Gamecock that i seemed to share a box with it?? Cheers PT

Hoping some of you may be able to share experiences of building Pegasus limited run biplanes? I am about to start on a 1/72 Gloster Gamecock. (I also have a Merlin 1/72 Jenny to do also which looks a bit of a challenge...)

Managed to find the following text from a gamers website! which is most useful so I will share this with you all too: Interesting stuff I hope! thanks all for your comments thus far! The 4B and O2 were U.S. produced versions of the DH4 and were physically very similar to the Dh-9a. The O2B-1 had a metal fuselage, the Dh-4B was plywood. In 1927 a mix of these aircraft assigned to VO-1M (San Diego) as well as VO-4M (Quantico) were deployed to Nicaragua with Marine ground troops to support the local government against rebel forces. These aircraft engaged in what was considered the first USMC use of close air support as well as dive bombing. VO-1M aircraft are the original "Ace of Spades" squadron, the oldest active squadron in the Marine Corps. Now known as Attack Squadron 231. The "A number" on the fuselage changed to a #o# system in 1927. The "2o6" aircraft is a VO-2M machine deployed to Haiti during the same period.

Looking at the idea of making a 1/72 Boeing O2B-1 from the old Airfix DH4 kit- after a time looking though google at the differences/similarities this looks a really interesting DIY conversion project! Would anyone have any details, ideas, information, graphics etc to share in this post to assist perhaps? The color scheme if have found is silver all over and yellow wings (tops) but was their any other schemes the O2B-1 wore? (this was a very colorful period) Liberty V12 engine I am guessing? Were the wings the same length as the RFC DH9? Would the O2B-1 have bomb racks installed? or carried extra fuel in external tanks? many questions

Finally got myself an ex Frog Bristol Beaufort -Encore version- following a trip to Bristol (appropriate I felt) Now I am wondering how to improve the model as everyone knows it is a pig but the basis is there.. I also have the new Airfix Beaufighter and Blenheim, unfortunately both have some parts missing!! so I cannot build them fully (must have slipped though the net of quality control?) What parts might be useful and from what kit? Any help would be greatly appreciated please cheers! PT

I am wanting to make the Airfix Chi Ha Type 47 Tank with a different scheme to the box design and have been reading up about the SNLF 'Special Naval Landing Force' (Japanese Marines?) IJN? I have found a passage in the following link that states an 'overall Naval Dark Grey' was sometimes used. Would any Chi Ha type tanks have ben used by this Landing Force and in this scheme (I have also read that an anchor badge was used on the side of the machines. Trying to get away from the 'standard' 3 colour scheme I have witnessed on most Chi Ha tank images found but being an aviation modeller I have only a small degree of tank knowledge... Any help would be of great interest. Thanks!

Here is the Horsa, you can see the pitted surface and bent tail in the picture, I want to end up with a smooth surface which I can then hand paint and set decals to (D-Day markings will be featured by using very thin strips of black decal on white paint. I may try and find a 1:144 Corgi C-47 to go with it as part of the gift?

I am wanting to construct a White metal Horsa Gilder as a gift, when complete. It looks to be a war gaming piece (1:144) and is cast in plain white metal. The casting looks ok but is pitted in many places and the tail section is a little bent, as are the trailing edges on the the wing. What can be done to rectify these problems? I have read up a bit of filling the pitted areas with Miliput then sanding them to create a good base for painting but what about the mis-shaped tail and trailing edges? Also, I am going to scratch the undercarrage and try and make some wheels.

Looking at the B-2/N variant (no interest in the P as I want an in service version) Another question.... The rocket boosters (for take off?) on each wing have odd looking packs on the front? can anyone help me in telling me what these are???)

Looking at altering an old FROG Arado 234 jet bomber into a Night fighter version. It will involved scratching parts and altering the cockpit? Can anyone help with some details?... * what was the layout of the cockpit when the radar gear was installed, I had read the aircraft had side-by-side seating but I have not found any images showing how I can achieve this... * Looks like I am going to make the bolt-on gun pack!

thanks for all the comments! ah yes...the windscreen is upsidown, I didn't notice (also I have not painted the wheel wells..but no one has realised yet, or out of kindness not a word was written.)

have sent a PM to John but no reply so I have settled on a late post war scheme (black undersides/grey top side Night Fighter (totally different to what I first set out to achieve!) this means no need to detail the bombaimers nose position and no need to alter the canopy type needed for a bomber! lazy mossie!

PM sent mate. another alternative! fallen in love with the look of a B.35 later than I wanted to do but it looks great in gloss grey upper and black lower surfaces, decals might be a struggle and a bulged bombbay might also be as I would have to scratch one! I do not like resin (ie.paragon)

Mike Romeo your PR.XVI looks fantastic! and Paramedic, I have followed your link to the book so I will look into getting one! thanks. going off the TIII idea as I quite like the look of the Mosquito in full camo and black undersides so a B.IX looks to be a prefered option (if I dont go for the B.IV engine swap!) looking into schemes for the bombers this evening
