  1. Hello Bill, They look like Type C for the upper wings and Type C1 for the fuselage, but then again, I'm no expert either! The SAM book on the Lancaster, Manchester and Lincoln by Richard Frannks gives conflicting sizes for the upper wing roundal size as 8'5" diameter [101 inches] and 102 inches on the next page; I seem to recall that the 102 figure is correct. Your picture of DV170 looks to be the same size as the drawing in the book 101/102 inches - it's a smallish drawing! There are many more wise old head with better references etc than I have, so I'd wait and see what else comes up. It sounds like it will be an impressive beast. Any chance of you posting a piccy when you're done? Regards, Ant
  2. Hello Will, I expect that this will not be a lot of use to you, but the only little bit of information that I have come across concerning the Lanc VI was a post war picture of DV170 with 4 Merlin 102's in Avro Tudor power plants (which have un-shrouded exhausts) and DV199 with Merlin 85's which appear to show them with shrouded exhausts; the second picture is a bit small and indistinct. Both pictures are in the old PSL book 'Lancaster Classic Aircraft No.6 - Their history and how to model them' buy Franklin & Scarborough. Ant
  3. Hi Martin, A fantastic looking piece of work. What did you do to the Hercules engines? My Airfix Beaufighter looked nothing like that! Regards, Ant
  4. Ian over at Heritage Aviation did some intakes for the Buccaneer a while back, but when I swapped e-mails with him recently I think he said something about having to re-make the moulds or repair them - apologies Ian if I have mis-quoted you. Ant
  5. I wish someone would issue an injection moulded Fairey Hendon...
