  1. Thanks for sharing Jeff. You've conjured up the proverbial "silk purse" (armed only with your skills and a small knife for peeling fruit)! Lesser modellers would have consigned it to the recycling bin.... Best regards Peter
  2. Lovely job Tom. A real oldie but goodie (thanks to you)!! I did get the Matchbox 109 in 1/32 for a birthday present (we're talking 1977-ish) but I don't think that I ever finished it. Lord knows where it ended up (probably consigned to the bin by my folks when they moved - with a shedload of Airfix plastic soldiers)! Good to see something from another Kent builder. I grew up in Staplehurst. Best regards Peter
  3. Lovely job. Very nice work on the cockpit. Thanks very much for sharing. Best regards Peter
  4. Lovely job Matt. You can't beat a well made Hurricane (and it's nice to see one that isn't the Arma kit - with all due respect to Arma who've engineered a great model). Thanks very much for sharing. Hope to see more of your work. Best regards Peter
  5. Super job! Very pleased that you persevered with it. I have one of these in the cupboard so a build for 2024 I think. Hopefully it will turn out as good as yours. Thanks very much for sharing. Best regards Peter
  6. What can I say that hasn't been said already? Thanks very much for sharing. Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent 1/72 P38 (I am a man of limited storage)? I should be asking in another area? Best regards Peter
  7. Two lovely examples of the bent-winged widow maker (until it was tamed by the FAA). Thanks very much for sharing. To my everlasting shame, my FAA GB entry is still in the box! Best regards Peter
  8. Super job! Invasion stripes really well done (speaking as someone who has just struggled to do some for the first time)!! Thanks for sharing Best regards Peter
  9. I'm almost embarrassed to say that I've never built one before (although I've made a fair few of its landlubber cousin)!!
  10. Evening All, Thought that I would give this one a go as I had read some good things about it. Just to kick things off , here's where we are now As you can see, not a lot done so far but I won't really get going until I get back from holiday (off to Sweden for a few days next week). I will try and remember to post my progress as I go along. Best regards to all Peter
  11. I'm not normally a fan of "whirly-birds" but that's a super job! Excellent paint and finish. Did you add a lot of additional riveting detail? Thanks very much for sharing. Best regards Peter
  12. Lovely hurricane. Thanks for sharing. As regards scales, I'm firmly in the 1/72 camp. Normally, I would say that one of my reasons was "speed of build" but I've been working on an Arma 1/72 P51b since January.....🤣!! Best regards Peter
  13. Lovely Gustav! Unusual and effective paint scheme. Heard lots of good things about the Tamiya kit in God's own scale. Possibly one for next year....... Thanks for sharing Best regards Peter
  14. Super job! Always heart warming to see some old school brush painting. Thanks for sharing Best regards Peter
  15. Super job. The perfect start to a Monday morning (it's all downhill from here I think)!! Thanks for sharing Best regards Peter
  16. How about your own GB?!! Sounds like you don't need the rest of us 😉!! Best regards to all Peter
  17. A superb job and a great example of what you can achieve with the old "hairy stick"! I am planning on a few more Luftwaffe aircraft in 2024 (workbench fully booked for 2023) and shall definitely be taking a look at this Eduard kit. Thanks very much for sharing Best regards Peter
  18. Err...I'm not at all sure what is going on here now!! The KP Seafire ready and waiting for the off. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's builds. Best regards to all on the longest day Peter
  19. Super job (if your finishes are that good with a tricky colour, I love to see one of your builds in an easy colour)!! Thanks very much for sharing Best regards Peter
  20. What can I say that hasn't been said already?! Thanks very much for sharing. Best regards Peter
  21. Lovely job! I've read a lot about the intricacies of the undercarriage but yours looks really good. Great tones on both of the gull greys. Thanks for sharing Best regards Peter
  22. A true ugly duckling but very well executed. Thank you for sharing. X Ray Spex......what a great band!! Best regards Peter
