  1. I've got the Scout and Wasp on pre-order from Jadlam but also tempted by the Freightdog resins!
  2. Very good news! I built the Aeroclub kit during he lockdown and its an excellent kit but would welcome a new one from Valom! Cheers, Paul
  3. A very nice clean build, these SBS kits look to be very high quality. I bought the Miles Whitney Straight at Telford and am looking forward to building it, inspired by Andrew's build. Cheers, Paul
  4. An excellent conversion, very clearly described and illustrated. Good stuff! Cheers, Paul
  5. A great day, absolutely knackered and spent far too much! Seems to be back to the pre- COVID days and a healthy number of overseas visitors. Got to force myself to repeat tomorrow, can't wait. Many thanks to the volunteers who have done a marvellous job. Super stuff, cheers Paul
  6. It's my scale but I don't do Luftwaffe, saying that I hope it's a big hit for Airfix and looks like an excellent model, look forward to seeing it in the flesh (?) tomorrow. Cheers, Paul
  7. I like Xtracrylix RLM01 Silber which is good for pre war doped aluminium and post war "high speed silver" Agree with Giorgio N re the old Mithril Silver, the replacement is darker and more grainy. Cheers, Paul
  8. Great stuff but would prefer it it they corrected the 1/72 version especially the impeller blades in front of the engines. Cheers, Paul

  10. I think Grub Street have published at least one volume of "Shackleton Boys" which consists of anecdotes and experiences. As mentioned above the Haynes manual is more technical but is pretty good. Cheers, Paul
  11. Thanks for the info, I assume they weren't comparable with the 20mm cannon on most versions but was it stability/control issue on the narrow body AEW versions?
  12. Currently building the Sword Skyraider AEW, the kit has prominent leading edge slats included but looking at my AD/A-1 references can' t see them on other variants. Where these unique to the "guppy" variants? Many thanks Britmodellers
  13. Backordered one from Hannants, as noted above a reasonable price for a large kit and an important 1950's RAF aircraft although a bit forgotten these days Cheers, Paul
  14. Ordered mine too, now have a little stash of VFR's excellent models to build! Cheers, Paul
  15. Another very welcome release from VFR, they are certainly treating GA enthusiasts!
