  1. So the building of it is done an I have primed it. Painted the tracks black but would they have got much use and would be metallic or rusty (did it rust)? Going to have a good coat of dust on anyway but want to be as correct as possible.
  2. Looked at the Eduard site but never thought of Scalemates, thanks!
  3. Does anyone have the instructions for Tamiya's Dragon Wagon and Eduards PE set? Will pay for items and shipping. Colin
  4. Wasnt it a black or green matt patch to stop the glare of the polished metal in front of the pilot?
  5. What I ment by this is that I dont think they would have used civilian paint as most likely it would be gloss? As they did not have any AFVs at the time then they would not have paint for them. So that leaves it to aircraft paint. NZ hadn't started making paint in NZ yet so would they have used RAF paints or US paint? I assume RAF as the video (if the colours came out in the video correct??? B and W or colour film) sort of shows them in that tint. Not stating any facts and not sure it will ever be found but Im open to other opinions. Colin
  6. This is amazing footage and shows nicely the camo patterns. Not sure if I trust the colour as who knows if it has been colourized or is original but I am sure it is pretty close to reality. Thank you so much.
  7. Thanks, yes I have the Vargas model and was Lucky enough to pick it up at this years AMP show from the man himself. The kit is pretty good and goes together easily. Problems are very minor. Colin
  8. Anyone got an idea of what the colours were on this tank and in what part of Zealand was it used and what would the dust colour be? I have seen that they seem to be green and brown but what paint was used? Colin
  9. Been trying to find photos of the V-150 exhaust to see if they "darken" like most vehicles do but I cant see any. I want to be as accurate as possible when I weather my model. Any thoughts? Colin
  10. Well, ICM dosnt have any of the kit any more and no parts so I might just garbage the kit or just replace the wheels with similar. Thanks to all for the help.
  11. Would a Panzer III J model ever had winter tracks on it? I have a desire to do a winter scene but just wanted to see if it was accurate.
  12. Argh! put this in the wrong section. Can it be moved or deleted?
  13. Are there aftermarket wheels for this kit? Specifically the sprocket. Mine have bad pours and I would like to replace them but thy dont look close to any other of the German tanks I have kits of.
  14. So I have been working on this kit and although it is a bit of a pig of a kit, I like the subject. Started to work on the wheels and noticed I dont have the soft plastic sprue of the wheel hubs. Does anyone have a spare one from a kit? Colin
  15. Sorry, some of the shots are a bit fuzzy but my bench is in the basement and it's not the brightest down there. Added all sorts of brass wire for handles etc. Had to add all the strengthening bits on the shovel that were missing. Added weld beads where necessary. Thanks for all the comments. I have tons of pictures on the real VT-34s so I have enough to get by without the magazines. Made the towing bar from aluminum tube and brass bits.
