I'm new here and I'm trying to learn my way around. Here's my current project. I painted the cockpit (the wrong color ) and glued it in back in 97 when the kit first came out. Back then I also made my own resin nose to replace the horrible kit nose. So after sitting 25 years barely started, I'm finally building it. It's my only SOD kit.
Thanks for looking.
Nice job! I really like your scheme choice. Those Hasegawa Fs still look great to me when done right. I've got a few to do before I buy another brand F.
Thanks all. I shouldn't have mentioned the G model as it's distracting to my question. I know the RAAF flew A-20Gs and Beaufighters maybe I'll simplify my research and do one of the them for my next twin.
Thanks again all for the information.
I was looking for interesting B-25G decals when these caught my eye. I have plenty of B-25J kits and this would be a cool switch for me if the story is interesting. Does anyone know anything about these markings. Theater? Combat? Colors? Strafer mods?
Thanks

Beautiful job. I've been long wanting to build one in those markings. I did a Hasegawa B in them back in the early 90s. It wasn't remotely good. I've been waiting for a better 48th B forever.
These markings were always my favorite. My uncle was on the Midway in 72-74. He gave me a stack of original flight deck and aerial photos of all the different types and squadron markings when he got out. I was 9 and over the next few years I tossed all but a few when I needed to make room in my one and only photo album. Anybody remember photo albums.
Thanks for the inspiration and letting me confess my sins.
You did a great great job! Are those all the Tamiya decals? There's no current aftermarket sheets for that plane. I've had inconsistent quality with Tamiya decals.
Be well

Wing roots and the like I fill with milliput or Apoxy Sculpt. They are both two part epoxy putties that I smooth with a wet (water) finger tip or kitchen roll. You can use dampened cotton buds but they can leave long hair like fibers behind. A small dampened piece of foam or cheap paint brush works better. The best sanding method is not to have to sand at all.
Obviously it's not possible to eliminate all sanding. When I do have to sand tight areas I wrap presoaked wet/dry sand paper around appropriately sized paint brush handles thin wooden coffee stirrers. Presoaking them softens them and allows them to conform to tight bends better.
Honestly the Apoxy Sculpt has been a God send to my modeling. Well really in this case God's name is Paul Budzik. He has a video on this stuff. It's made my modeling life infinitely easier.

Wow pink. I would have thought the pink would have been a better color for high altitude concealment than for low altitude. Doesn't make sense to me at all. Then again I'm not familiar with the types.
Thanks all, I'm really having a problem paying for a photo hosting site. Other forums I belong to don't require it. I read through the 6 pages of how to post pictures and it's dizzying. It's a shame that I can't see BM working for me. I might as well pay to remove the add from the other forum if I have to pay to post pictures here.
Photo hosting sites are littered with adds, watermarked and often short lived. Mostly I'm tired of being marketed to and being used to market to others. If I'm wrong point me in the right direction.
My name is Ron and I'm coming from another popular forum because of invasive adds. I've been here many times and know several members from the net. I hope to learn some and return as much as I can to benefit the community here. Looking forward to meeting a new good bunch of guys. Here's a picture of my cabinet and you can get and idea of my entry level.
Be well all.
Thanks for having me.

Ps nevermind I can't post pictures without a url. I won't use hosting sights.
Sorry for wasting your time.
