Hi guys. I'm just thinking about the railings around the deck and I have some doubts about their location on the stern. Mainly around the catapult. The question is, were they foldable? They must have been able to somehow, otherwise the catapult wouldn't have been able to turn sideways to launch the plane. One more question. Some time ago I found a great Japanese model. I noticed that there is also an additional horizontal railing near the flight deck. The question is, can any of you confirm this arrangement?

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it. To be honest in the first post you can see the shape of the model that has been maintained since 2010. Like US Iowa class battleships, my Fuso was "preserved" and lay down in the storage wrapped in plastic, waiting for a better times. Everything else from the next posts it's a last year progress, so I think I've got the right flow now. Thanks again

The funnel superstructure is finally finished. Next, it's time for the rear tower superstructure. I saved the pagoda for last. BTW sorry guys for my english but I'm not a native speaker.

I'm still in the process of making the funnel superstructure. I did come across a small problem with a template that was too short, but I've managed to solve it. To make the "vents" I used Mr Halinski's phenomenal set of photo-etched parts dedicated to this model. Funnel steam and smoke pipes. I made them in 3D based on Fuso's monograph from the Anatomy of the Ship by Mr Janusz Skulski. The pipes themselves could've been made from some wire but I didn't have any at that time. Next, I managed to make the platforms for the searchlights, and I tested the railing templates I had printed. I think that they passed the test. To make it more detailed, I added overlay covers with rivets on them. Let's say it's just a small experiment of mine that should give results when it comes to the wash at the end. I still have to do two more small platforms on the sides of the funnel and two radar antennas. I will make a short introduction to bring you up to date. I started this model around January 2010, which was a long, long time ago.
