  1. Hi Paul, My apologies, I was confused by your sequence of photos showing green paint followed by hairspray, followed by water, followed by brushes. Don't mind me, I'm just trying to learn new techniques to improve my modelling. Take care, Graham
  2. Very interesting, I thought this technique required the hairspray to be applied between the layers of paint. This makes it much more versatile. So much to learn and such a small brain 🙂 Take care, Graham
  3. Very helpful indeed, Rich, Thanks very much. Take care, Graham
  4. Hi Rich, Love the detailing of the cockpit and the whole build in general. As I have this kit in my stash, I'd be interested to know if you annealed the seat belts to make them more malleable? I understand Tamiya decals are quite thick, so that's something I'll have to bear in mind too. Take care, Graham

    Hello!

Hi Jeff, My 1/32 Mossie doesn't really pass muster, so no pics of that. The Tamiya 1/48 P-38 F/G is on my wishlist. I have a Tamiya 1/48 Mossie and Beaufighter, plus the new ICM OV-10A in my stash, so you may see something from me later in the year. Don't hold me to that though. Take care, Graham
  6. Thanks for all the replies guys, it all makes more sense now. Take care, Graham

    Hello!

Hi Dennis, I'm trying convince myself I don't need the Revell 1/32 Spitfire mk2a that somehow has appeared in my Amazon basket. 🙂 But, but, but it's only £22. I think I'm losing this one. Take care, Graham
  8. Hi Guys, I'm building the Airfix 1/48 Tomahawk and have a question. The part shown as D06 is clear and shows on the outside of the fuselage as a clear dot as show below. What is this meant to represent and should I mask it or paint over it? I'm itching to try my new airbrush 🙂 Just forward of the tailplane there's a hole either side, am i right in thinking these are attachment points for an aerial wire (if so where does the other end attach)? Thanks in advance for your help, and apologies for being such pain already. Cheers, Graham

    Hello!

Hi guys, Apologies for being late to the party. Having not built a model kit since I was around the age of 9 or 10, flash forward to the beginning of last year (almost 55 years), when I decided I wanted to build a Spitfire. After watching some YouTube videos I bought a Hobby Boss 1/32 Spitfire mk Vb. It looked too nice a model to muck up so I bought a Revell 1/32 Mossie to learn the basics on. The build of the Mossie wasn't as smooth as I would have liked (includung painting it three times) but I learned a lot. I have since built an Airfix 1/48 Hurricane which turned out much better. Currently I'm building an Airfix 1/48 Curtiss Tomahawk mk 2. I seem to have become addicted to buying model kits. 😃 Anyway I look forward to learning lots more from you guys and gals. 5take care, Graham
