  1. May I as a question, lots of the photos I have collected show like a dark and light grey, sorry this one is of the Ginger Whinger. Why does the kit and the builds all show it in olive?
  2. Been a few years, are these aftermarket kits still manufactured? Struggling to find Flighpaths apart from some out of stock claims on scale mates etc.?
  3. The undercarriage is interesting, hope the Eduado kit has some parts for that! Quite possible one of the flimsiest little part I have seen which snapped under the clip of the cutters! I made it back to front, the instructions suggest assembling it then attaching it, I didnt rate my ability to alight the two parts that connect to the fuselage so used a blob of blue tack to hold them in place whilst I glue up the other parts. Good luck, will like to see these which will be shortly on your build. Those after market cockpit parts are something else, will have to invest in those next time! Ive got the GW1 GR1 Tonka on my shelf in 1/32 still in the box waiting for me to get some more weathering experience, but I would to bling up the cockpit!
  4. The instructions are not very clear either, couldnt work out if the dash should be flush or under the canopy. The detail on your cockpit is incredible for such a small scale!
  5. I just assembled the cockpit to the fuselage and the front seat is not straight, the glare shield of the front didnt fit well either and popped off. Probably my poor skills but i did manage to glue the seat so well I cant pick the seat off to straighten it!
  6. Is that a chain attached to its tail or background? Maybe the RAF ones were used from the RN Ships in Libya but it didnt need a bloody anchor!
  7. Good evening, I have always loved the Arleigh Burke so just bought the 1/350 scale which I think is the DDG-51 version. There is a variant in the Class that I couldnt buy DDG-64. Is it possible to get after market kits for certain variants or would I need to scratch build additions from photos? Thank you.
  8. Hey I am doing this kit too, the Canopy doesnt open so I am thinking of an in flight Missile Launch diorama but may settle for a Hesco compound. Its only my second kit as an adult so am learning and expanding but I didnt bother too much with the cockpit but out of interest, where did you get the decals for the cockpit, I am based in Aus but Google didnt come up with much for this model for after market, even the Eduad kit didnt come up searching Not going to do Harries aircraft on account of his recent behaviors, used to really respect the guy but blood is thicker than water IMO. I also have the GW Tonka in 1/32 and they wouldnt ship the RAF paint to Aus, had to get 6 pots delivered to the UK and then shipped over here as "art supplies"!
  9. Good looking build, I bought the 1:32 one but not started yet, I have only done one previous build and want to get an airbrush for this one, so I think a couple more interim kits are in order. Wondered if these may help but looks like a bloody good job anyway!
  10. That is awesome, great work!! Does the kit come with the rotor straps? Making me want to buy one now, only a little hint of inside, any chance of a close up of the cab?
  11. What a great collection and as others said, a great time for the RAF fleet, how about a BAe146 from the Queens flight!
  12. Agree on the matting, I couldnt find any references to what they used, I dont think its Sommerfield as it seems denser in the original picture and it looks like it curls up which makes me think its material. It certainly isnt layered like mine so will play with that. Thanks Dave
  13. Thanks Cobber! I have a Desert Storm GR1 up next, maybe, and I need that thrust reverser soot and similar, without any other weathering I think it will look too perfect. Im not into airbrushing yet so may do a few more other models until I build my skills and gear up, I really want to do that baby justice. Im Newcastle NSW, will have to update my profile. Thanks for the explanation and I love how it looks on your model.
  14. Not sure if this is the place to ask, but how do you guys get the panel lines to stand out like that, it looks amazing.
