Question...Where the heck do you chop the old nose off because it's not shown in the instructions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it just forward of the front bulkhead? -
I stand corrected, didn't think Fruitbats had any GR1A's.........Learn something every day.

It was a joint US/British project for a weapon not only for the RAF,but also used by the USAF F-111,but the US pulled out when it got too expensive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JP233

I believe that was the old RSP for the Russian Green Parrot anti personnel minelet,The helicopter must've overflown the HB-876 mine & set off the thermal slug that takes out armoured vehicles...Lucky shot really (or unlucky for the chopper & crew)

So I'm doing this monster of a kit.I am contemplating buying the DJ Parkins set but am in 2 minds,as the's not a lot I'd use from I think...Mainly the cockpit, seat & airframe.

To a man, most of us hated loading the JP with a passion, sods law the loader would break on you so you'd have to manhandle the barsteward to get it lined up,And as for fitting the rear hinge pin release gear, with full NBC on...forget it! (Fit's into that square box on the top & then the other end fits to the rear of the shoulder pylon.. http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/photos/070606-f-1234b-014.jpg

Revell 1/48th Tornado - Instruction sheet on line

I replace the seats as more times than not, they are just shaped that look like a bang seat.If the cockpit is half decent then I'll leave as is,but as I found out when I replaced the pit in an F-16,that was a waste of money as most of the file detail couldn't be seen, but in the case of the Tornad where the pit is more visible, then some after market bits can accent the existing detail. -

It's been put back that many times,I'll believe it when I see it,I've pre-ordered one from Wonderland & last date for it being available was today, now they websites showing what Muzz said.. -
Thanks, I think I'll go with removing the seat, adding details or bunging a couple growbags in the pit...It's a 'get my modeling mojo' back project...(One of three on the go cuz I can;t seem to get fully mojo'd...)

Help needed in finding alternatives to Tamiya AS paints.
spike7451 replied to RichyDunn's topic in Aircraft Cold War
Here's a really useful paint matching site; http://scalemodeldb.com/paint You can even upload a photo & the site will match the paints for you. -
The factory only has a certain number of molding machines,in order to make new/reissue kits they will have to stop production of other kits, they'll also have a warehouse full of kits & kit parts for small orders that may come in or to add it to a later catalog.

Harrier II Single Type Group Build
spike7451 replied to AnonymousDFB1's topic in Future Group Build Archives
Question....I'm thinking of getting the Dave Parkins set for my build,so the questions are; A-Worth the money seeing as I wont use bits of it B-is it any good & accurate representation on a GR3 Leaping Heap? -
No,it's an optical illusion as the bump is the aux air inlet.& navigation light, the wat they line up & the angle of the jet make it look like the is one fitted.

What I do is google the kit before I buy,you generally can find lots of build reviews so you can judge for yourself if it;s worth buying.- 15 replies
