  1. Ok so should I presume that scratched green paint on the seat etc should reveal aotake coat underneath? If so that means: Coat of Black primer Then coat of aluminium( to make aotake look real) Then a coat of blue green And on top of that nakajima/ Mitsubishi interior green ??? That is a lot of coats..
  2. Greetings Gentleman !!! Due to my recent Eduard dual combo a6m21 build I have a question regarding primers used . Cockpit (seat , floor , etc.) chipping. Both zero's are early ones. One is Mitsubishi and the second is nakajima manufactured. (The nakajima one is grey painted one with green field camo. Picture was taken in 1943. Should the underlying coat be aluminium or red/brown primer???? I know that primer was absent on late zero's but since when??? Any help appreciated 🀣🀣🀣
  3. Best high altitude interceptor😈. Great aircraft !!! On my "to do list" . How was the build? I'm pretty sure trumpeter Migs are quite old kits. Beautiful green colour. Nice weathering. Congratulations!
  4. OMG what a paint scheme! Great work on this one. Was this an easy build? 🀯
  5. Welcome sir!!! Never to old for this hobby!
  6. One of my favourite bombers along with A20 havoc. What a beast. Great build and weathering. πŸ’£πŸ’£πŸ’£
  7. Hell Yeah ! She's a beauty😍 definitely on my "to do" list...
  8. Looks like a really clean build. Congratulations πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ₯³πŸ₯³
  9. I bet in the old days it wasn't so easy. Bless you YouTube and tutorials.
  10. My second finished kit. Top notch Eduard quality. Easy cartograph decals. Any mistakes and inaccuracies are my fault, not Eduard's πŸ˜‡ lost one gunbarrel, used piece of copper instead. Don't be judgemental please it's my second build and the learning curve is long. Enjoy guys.
  11. It will help , thanks. The point is I really don't want to go crazy here. I already have x21 sky which I plan to light up with white. I'm gonna use xf63 and x22 for top coats as you mentioned. I will also preshade nicely and will try post salt weathering technique. Sorry for my English by the way πŸ˜‘ All right Gent's, I'll inform You in my progress. Thanks all of for to much help. πŸ‘
  12. It helped a lot Sir! Think I'm gonna try to find all three colours in Tamiya paint chart. This is a really nice looking, chubby hellcat by the way!
  13. Ok... So should I use regular RAF temperate scheme colours ? (Dark slate grey/ extra dark sea grey/ sky )What do you think about AK interactive paints? Their "real colours of WW2 " seems to be pretty accurate ... πŸ€”
  14. Thanks to all of You!!! My plan is to improve my skills on Pacific theatre and when I'm gonna be ready and good enough , I'll start eastern front aircraft series. I'm surprised how polite and helpful this portal is.
  15. Gentelman! It's time for my first question regarding "temperate scheme" of lend leased Grumman hellcats used by RN. I have done a bit of research and my conclusion is I shouldn't use ANA colours cause Grumman didn't care and paint them with Du Pont paints - not so accurate equivalent of British standards. Although , the few coloured pics of HMS indomitable aircrafts doesn't look like it at all. They are quiet greenish which suggest I should use olive drab instead of dark slate grey. From what I heard FAA hellcats paint shades discussion is another Pandora's box opening celebration πŸ€‘πŸ‘½πŸ˜ . The kit is Eduard's 1:48 dual combo. Eduard's claim is to use olive drab, grey, and sky. Any help will be appreciated. !!!
  16. After many years I'm coming back to my childhood hobby. I Hope i'm gonna find all the help I need here. πŸ˜…
