  1. Oh my, what a beautiful model ! Well worth the 12months of your time in my opinion
  2. Wow very impressive job you've done with that kit! I feel your pain having built the -800 kit last year. I'm curious, did you have any issues getting the resin fans to fit in the engine nacelles. That was the biggest issue I had with my kit
  3. Fantastic effort there and great photography, what more could we ask for!
  4. That's a cracker! Fantastic representation of the 👸 of the skies
  5. Thank you Yes I really like the LACI set's, they really add alot of detail
  6. Thank you Personally the hardest bit of the LACI stuff for me is removing them without breakage from the print supports. They fit pretty well if you take your time, but do require a little filling/sanding
  7. Haha well that's a bit of a clanger 😬 I'd honestly never noticed that, even my mate who spent 17yrs flying them didn't notice! Yeah the base was just a quick build for the 737 as I felt a bit guilty that the 787 so was so much bigger. I've just completed a P-51D, but not got around to photographing it yet. Beyond that might be a while for anymore, as we're moving house next week & a baby due end of April
  8. Yes of course you may & its greatfully received. I haven't flown the 737-Max so have to admit I didn't know about the longer nosewheel & ofcourse you are right about the APU inlet! An oversight on my part. Again thanks for the pointers, I have to admit I've learnt a'lot of stuff from your builds!
  9. Yeah unfortunately they don't yet have the landing config for the 787 yet. You've probably flown with my mate at some point then 😉
  10. Thank you Both are the Zvesda kits No need to be sorry at all! Now you mention it they do look quite low in the pics! I don't have the model to check anymore, but I think they're slightly higher than they look in the pics. Found a few pics of the the real thing with the same optical illusion.
  11. What a lovely looking model Mike You can rightly be proud of that one
  12. Wow fantastic job on that & love the fact you made something different. Amazing job on the custom decals as well 👏
  13. No problem Mike Tri jets you say! Can't wait to see those !
  14. Yes it definitely required more than the instructions, I remember that much. Can't wait to see your completed model
  15. Hi Don You are too kind Apologies I finished this last year so the details aren't fresh in my mind. I dont remember exactly how much weight I added, but it was definitely a fair bit more than recommended. The red I'm not 100% sure as I'm moving house next week & everything is packed up. But it was definitely either Tamiya LP-7 or LP-50
  16. Thanks Alex Yes they were, well atleast that's what they said 😅
  17. Hi Everyone I built these as Christmas presents for two friends who fly each respective aircraft. The Ryanair 737 was painted using home made masks and fitted with the LACI aftermarket "landing config kit" The BA 787 is mainly decals and I also fitted the Braz lower fuselage section. As always any constructive criticism welcome & thanks for looking
  18. Wow fantastic job on this, the paint finish is top notch 👌
  19. Thank you for the kind words Duncan. I'm glad I've finally started to put my cricut vinyl cutter to some good use
  20. Thanks for the kind words, yes the polished leading edges look 👌 I might look into that, but I'm moving house in a week so might be a while yet 😅
  21. Thank you for the kind words! Yes I should definitely sort out the landing gear, but I'm not sure that would make it a competition winner 😅 Thank you Glad the countless hours sanding amd polishing weren't wasted 😅
  22. Hi Turbofan Yes it's a massive model, but quite impressive in real life. The leading edges were painted in AK super chrome, it's gives an amazing finish but it's incredibly fragile. Just look at it the wrong way and the finish gets marred and dulled, not found any clear that works with it either yet. The fuselage is Tamiya LP-72 mica silver, I saw it recommended on here. Decals wise it's only jet 2 logos on the engine, as I my cricut couldn't cut masks that fine, the rest of the markings are painted. It's not terrible to build, but its definitely not a tamiya, does require some filling and sanding. Strangely it was the engines that I couldn't get to fit and required alot of work. Thank you for the kind words
  23. Hi everyone Here is my completed BPK 737-800 Its pretty much straight out of the box, except for some authentic airliners window decals, rocast probes & antennas and some home made J2 decals and masks. Thanks for looking appreciate any constrictive feedback
  24. Excellent job Especially for a first build! You can be justifiably proud of that
