  1. Another spot of the album: 1982 in Waterville, Ireland.
  2. The stockcar has a history as taxi (Hell Cab Co). The sticker at the side shows the taxi fare, 1,50$ initial charge, 25c per 1/5 mile. The rear bumper says Jackson GMC. The car looks like a Borgward but it's not. The last pictures show a Monteverdi 375L, Jaguar E-Type (4,2 ltr. I think) and an Iso Rivolta "Lele", the yellow one. The motors initially were Chevrolet V8 (5,8 ltr.). Later, about 1972, they changed to Ford. The Monteverdi has a Chrysler motor.
  3. This weekend there was the annual classic cars meeting during spring festival in Munich and though it was raining nearly all day I got some pictures. If you want to see more have a look here.
  4. The original of the car is shown at the Henri Malatre museum at la Rochetaillée in France. Only one picture but you will see the blue. https://www.musee-malartre.com/liste-objets-phares/carrosseries-automobiles
  5. Many LHD cars at Goodwood. Great pictures giving an impression of the racing atmosphere.
  6. Two types of BMW. Which one to choose?
  7. Sometimes it's a day for spotting. All pictures taken near the most expensive hotel "Vier Jahreszeiten" (Four Seasons) in Munich.
  8. The Meng instructions say simply silver. Revell suggests a mix of 80 % #78 tank grey and 20 % #91steel. In a cutaway of the Me 410 it is called "Funkpeilantennenverkleidung". So it is not the antenna itself but the cover.
  9. There are some computer renderings and test shots, provided by special hobby, on the German site kitreviewsonline.
  10. There are some pictures of the Nuremberg Toy Fair at IPMS Germany, presenting Revell models and some other brands. https://ipmsdeutschland.de/wordpress/2024/02/01/eindruecke-von-der-spielwarenmesse-nuernberg-2024/ Links to the Revell previews for 2024 at the bottom of the page. And then there is the video of Modellbau Koenig at Youtube showing the presenter next to ecstasy, using the words "holy poo-poo" and "absolute porno" all the time. Revell is shown at he end of the video. When he passed the Special Hobby stand I saw the "Kriegsfischkutter" that is known as ICM kit in 1:350 and 1/44 in 1/72nd scale . Very interesting.
  11. Beautiful. With Arabian registration in Munich. Flown in from Dubai?
  12. The German site Modellmarine offers more than 600 pictures of navy stuff shown at Telford 2023. The dioramas are most impressive. Enjoy!
  13. One of the last sunny weekends of this autumn. I had a tour with my immaculate and very rare Mitsubishi Colt of 1991 🙂. The first car, that got my attention, was a huge Bentley in front of me, looking like the Blower. I've seen only the back and the side of the car, so I can't say. The driver took the country road at normal speed, which is 100 km/h (about 62 miles per hour). Then a silver 911 of the first generation, later an open, modern version of the car, very broad, very muscular. An original Mini, very small, compared to the successors. An open Mercedes 450 SL. And, very rare and most fascinating, an Alfa Romeo 4C. This was the second time, I ever spotted one. @nearsightedjohn: Beautiful cars, beautiful pictures. I've copied the Mercedes.
  14. I've once seen this one at Motorworld Munich. A 413 UGC is a replica.
  15. The Bentley is shown in full colour on Vintage Bentleys.
  16. Native Americans Steamin' on With greatings from Oktoberfest 2023.
  17. When out for a 2,5 hrs ride on my BMW R 60/5 south of Munich there were an MGB GT and these open convertibles coming along: Jaguar XK 120, Jaguar XJS, Aston Martin Volante/Vantage (?), Austin Healey 3000, Mercedes 450 SL, Fiat 850, Fiat 124.
  18. Since 100 years BMW is building motorcycles. They are celebrating the 100th anniversary with an extra exhibition, showing about 50 motorcycles of their history. I have taken photos. Some of them are here, more of them at the Revell site.
  19. The star of the "IAA mobility 2023" in Munich: Porsche Mission X. The doors open vertically. I think this is one of those cars the production of which is sold out before they even start it. If ever they will produce the Mission X. And this one is more conventional. When taking the photos I had a conversation with another guy admiring the car. And then he told me that he owns a 911 himself and is driving the car from time to time. Lucky man.
  20. When on my way to the BMW exhibitions (on bicycle) there were the usual BMW, Mercedes, Porsche in the streets. But I saw also an AUDI R8, a Rolls Royce (RHD) of the pre-BMW period and a spotless blue metallic Sovereign (no Jaguar sign on the car) at a car wash. No pictures, sorry. On the way back this beautiful Z3 with hardtop on. A lot of pictures in BMW World and in BMW Museum. Some examples
  21. @Mpfiend The Deutz looks like the Deutz D 30, available as Revell kit in 1/24 scale.
  22. @Admiral Puff: Just out of curiosity: What are "the depths of southern Denmark"?
  23. Which brand is that brown colour for the interior? It looks very "leathery". Nice work so far.
  24. As civilian objects seem to be allowed: Airfix Alfa Romeo 1933 Airfix Maserati Indy Heller Alfa Romeo 1750 Fujimi Dino 246 GTS Italeri Ferrai 275 Spyder Ferrari 308 Fujimi Ferrari 365 GTB/4 "Daytona" Nitto Lamborghini Miura
