@tie rod: I once used a small, round piece of thin plastic sheet as a stopper, the diameter just a bit more than the pin. The result seemed to be cleaner than that of a hot blade of a screwdriver. I think that is the Heller version.

Last Sunday there was the annual meeting of classic cars in Munich. The weather was fine and so was the number of beautiful cars. I got many pictures and these are only a small selection. So many dreams. Enjoy!

1931 Cadillac V16 Convertible Coupe, Jo-Han, 1/25
paul-muc replied to cmatthewbacon's topic in Work In Progress - Vehicles
I had built the two Cadillacs about 50 years ago and had left them unpainted because of the quality of the plastic and my lack of painting skills at that time. I had given away the green 2-seater but the blue 4-seater still rests in my cabinet. You will like the two Mercedes Benz 500K of Jo-Han. The Mercedes Benz 500K Special Roadster 1934 is a masterpiece of elegance. https://community.revell.de/viewtopic.php?f=107&t=5153 The Mercedes Benz 500K Roadster Limousine 1935 was a special version exclusively for Rudolph Carracciola. https://community.revell.de/viewtopic.php?f=107&t=8787 -

I have just ordered the kit as a stable mate for the excellent Revell kit of the Porsche 918. In another build thread I've read of some problems with the ill-fitting windscreen and a warped motor hood. Have you already checked this?

@Austin Healey Google DRX 258C https://austin-healey-racing.de/historie/austin-healey/ And then there is this one with alloys. https://www.johnchathamcars.co.uk/project/austin-healey-3000-mk3-rally-spec-car/

Great job on models, dio and photography. But where are the workers? Or were he photos of this scene taken on sunday?

You may think of strengthening the support of the outer wings. Otherwise there is the risk of them hanging down (anhedral). I have used an aluminium rod of 2,5 mm in a build that is resting since May 2023, waiting for the masking for the camouflage. And you will need a lot of weight in the nose. Good luck!

Citroen 15CV Six Traction Avant I didn't solve the problems with the fit of the motor hood, but anyhow, she's finished now. More pics in the build thread

763 Citroen 15 SIX, Heller 1/24 (1978) *Finis*
paul-muc replied to paul-muc's topic in Heller Classic GB
Finishing When I wanted to add the front bumper I realized that the arms of the sub-frame of the front wheel drive for them had a slightly different length and they were too short. I compensated that with pieces of the sprue. Unfornutalely I had applied the decal for the license number before and when touching the bumper too often when glueing it to the frame somewhen I had a part of the decal at the finger, a part was gone and the rest was on the plate. So I removed it completely. I hope the driver won't get a ticket. The final jobs were some small chrome parts and then she was finished. When looking at the photos I noticed that I have to pay some more attention to the right wing of the hood (front). -

Here comes the sun. She's on her wheels now. The fit of the engine cover lids doesn't hold them in place. I will fix them with masking fluid when I'm finished. I had glued the windows with matt varnish into the frames but that wasn' strong enough. They fell several times out of the frame when handling the model and finally I used glue. And that's what you can see unfortunately. For some more gloss she's got an aditional coat of floor polish. Now there is the exhaust system left and there are some smaller parts and then she's done. -

I have competed the engine bay and I've been waiting for the sun to take some photos. As the sun didn't come and I wanted to go on, I have used an LED torch to adjust the lighting. So here are some pictures with motor and the additional cover plates at the sides. There is a gap between body and plate but only the rear part will be visible after adding wheels and mudgards. I had tried to improve the fit and removed the left one before the cement had hardened and after sanding and cleaning the joining lines I had cemented the plate a second time trying to get a better fit but it's not perfect. I will try to fill the gap with the some green paint. -
