Thanks mate!
For the wheel wells, I sprayed a base coat of black then MRP ‘Super Silver’. The instructions suggest Old Crow had the yellow chromate rear panel, so I used Tamiya XF-4 for that then painted the bits in the centre free hand with thinned XF-4. Flory wash to finish.
Worked really well. - the free handing gives the impression of uneven wear. Might borrow that!

Excellent progress Dave, looking forward to seeing this come together. What was your technique for painting the wheel wells?

Did I put it in a safe place so I wouldn't lose it? I did not. 😠
Bugger, sounds like wherever it is it is in a very safe spot indeed!

How much more efficient is it doing three concurrently do you reckon?

All the joins need seeing to, so that will be a few cycles of the filling, sanding and priming.
Frustrating, but it will be time well spent.

just dry fit it to the a/c because it worked well to paint it like this.
And looks good while doing so. 👍

I was happily lost in that for an hour or 2 even though it can't all be seen. From a distance, it all doesn't look too bad I think.
Looks great, and that it was fun too is even better!

Nice, Jabba, I was thinking of building this kit in this GB myself. Probably won’t get to, so will live vicariously through yours instead!

Top job with this. Think I need to have a go at one now one day!

You’ve got a cracker on your hands there, Dave.

Lovely colour, and lovely and smooth.

Beautiful build Cliff. In another life I had a handful of trips in RAAF HS.748s, so I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for the old ‘Draggie’.

Looks like a joyful little build. 👍

Am I allowed to pick a favourite of your two builds, Patrice? If I am it might be this one I reckon. But only just!

Beautifully applied.
