  1. Excellent job! Where did you find that kit, since I am Croatian I would love to build one too
  2. Thank you! For the base I had some spare cedar plank so i cut it how i want to and then painted it in the color u can see on pics (here in Croatia we call this color walnut), and the stand is aluminium, painted in silver and screwed from bottom of the cedar plank.
  3. Yes I am aware of that, i have around 50 paints, mostly shades of gray or black because i used to make a lot of aircrafts. But that yellow was quite old and i wanted some bright colored model so i wanted to use that paint. Anyway, thanks for the comment .
  4. Hello, this summer after finishing college i decided to build some easy small plane nad put it on a stand. I bought this Revell's 1/72 Stearman Kaydet (cost only 6 euro) because i had some spare yellow paint and wanted to use it up. But that yellow wasn't good enough for painting and i didn't want to buy new 3euro yellow paint for 6euro model so i used revell's 94 gold paint and it end up better than i expected so here are some pictures (maybe i will post better resolution photos when i get new phone). I did the stand all by myself. Rigging turned just fine. It's not perfect, it's not original yellow, but it's a cute little decoration for living room or bedroom. Enjoy! I will appreciate any critic.
  5. I found out for those just after I put all the decals and I dont know if it can be used only when applying decals or I can use it even now when it's all done. Actually this black and yellow stripes near tail are painted although I had decals for that, thought it would be better to paint it (and it was better haha ) Now I just have to find a way to get rid of silvering on very small decals... p.s. Thank you for answering!
  6. I concluded that the best thing to do is to cut those transparent parts of crosses so I did that, now I just need to put some coat. Thank you. Thank you very much!
  7. Alright thank you for everything. Yes, i would love to try that one day on p51d or B-17. Just one more thing, is one layer of coat enough or should i do more?
  8. Ok thanks, so I need to try to free the air under silvering and then would be the best to put coat.
  9. Thank you everyone! Here are more photos. It isn't perfect, but i think it's a good start. Critics and future advices welcome!
  10. HELLO, Firstly, I did some kits in my childhood but they all look like a child made (paint) them, and I recently got back to modelling with 23 on my back so you can say I'm still a beginner. I bought Revell's BF109 in 1/32 scale and used airbrush for the first time in my life. So I almost finished it but I didn't use any varnish coat yet. My problem is how can I make those transparent parts of decals (mainly on crosses) dissapear? I thought of using gloss then clear varnish coat but I dont want to mess anything up. p.s.This is my first post here, still getting into it. Hope I posted this in right topic 🙂 . c
