Nice. I am building a similar plane now (in the in progress post), same camo scheme but in 1/144 scale.

A-4 assembly completed, glue only, no putty so far.

I have bought this IKEA picture frame and this tiny plane is going inside. I may need to join another frame to achieve the desired thickness.

The A-4 is so tiny that it fits in the palm. Fit is good and so far with glue, I do not need any putty to fill gaps. The only problem I have is it’s difficult to find 1/144 pilots. Maybe I will roughly make one since it’s so tiny.

Ok……I am having too many work in progress build here and none completed. Here’s another one, my first 1/144 and a tiny one too. The big 1/144 B777-300ER will have to wait for next year.
My inspiration came because of one top view picture of the plane blending with the ground. So I will build this tiny plane flying with a blur background, all mounted in an enclosed picture box.
So, here’s the plane; a New Zealand A-4 Skyhawk. The kit came with 2 planes, so I may build 2 planes with different camouflage.

While waiting patiently for my Sea King to deliver from Amazon, I trawled the net for pictures of this heli.
I noticed the rotor blades of this Sea King droop when stationary. Correct me if I am wrong, It looks like the blades need a slight bending to achieve that drooping look.oh…while looking for pictures, I am tempted to get the Eduard Tornado.

I finally completed the outboard flap. From photos, I realized the 3rd flap does not extend for this configuration. So I decided not to cut one but fabricate both as single piece. Will work on scribing a deeper line to differentiate the flaps.
The starboard wing is in progress now. Next challenge will be the Krueger flaps.
Attention is a bit distracted because my F14A has arrived, bought a RSAF F16C while browsing in the shop (I just have to get it because it’s RSAF) and waiting for my Airfix Sea King and Revell Twin Otter to deliver. Anyway, I must keep going with this B744 or it will be pushed to the dungeon in this forum.

I wouldn't wait too long. I just ordered the Eduard PE parts from Hannants and they only had 3 left. The kit's been out for a while so stocks may be drying up. The canopy masking set may be worth it as well.
Yup….I ordered the PE parts before the heli. Now I realized that camo Sea King is not easily available. Will look for one now.

That instruction drawing of the door helps. I found that Eduard has PE parts for this SeaKing interior and exterior. I am seriously thinking that I should get this Airfix and the PE parts.

One of those flights was this 1000th B744 with my first staff travel ticket with Singapore Airlines.

How is the small side door of this Airfix like? Can it be fixed opened with the lowered staircase on the door?

Nicely built. I have one AC-130 work in progress but stopped at the fuselage 20 years ago. I am hesitant to continue as this is a huge plane in 1/72 and a lack of display space.

This Sea King is one of my favourite helicopters, the other being the UH-1H.
Your build has inspired me to keep a look out for this Airfix kit.
Following this build from Singapore.

I am 2 years late for this reply but better than not giving some info.
There is one kit from China site that may fit.

I used to have a 1/72 Skyvan by Airfix in 80s. It’s now no more in production and nobody produces this in 1/72 scale. The odd ones in eBay are selling at sky high price.
I would love to build one now If only Airfix can re-release this kit……-

Great ! I am following this build. I have the Revell B777-300ER waiting to build and it’s a Star Wars theme too.

This is the position of the plane that I will attempt to build. Will likely have to fabricate the main landing gear with metal rods. Still sitting on the fence on whether to do the tilting wheels.

I get what you mean on the control surfaces moving slightly and briefly. This is what I do when flying radio control helicopter. The transmitter sticks are moved slightly and quickly return to neutral or opposite direction. Failing which, the heli will continue the direction change and may worst case, crash.
Good that I do not need to modify the tail planes. The flaps are already slowly torturing me.

Not my usual scale but the slotted flaps and slats have gotten my interest...... now ehre is an empty seat with a reasonable view?

You will have to sit for a long time. These flaps are torturing me slowly. I had some extra time to complete the first set because I was stranded at home with covid. Well, it was a light one, so was well after a couple of days of cough and runny nose.

Finally fitted the left wing and inner wing flaps. It’s a lot of work trying to figure out the size to file and sand the flaps and finally figure the take off position of the flap. All based on the photos I can get from the internet.
Not the strongest way to hold the flaps but I came out with this idea as I went along building. So will have to be careful not to knock it.

I am building the B744 in the in progress post now. A quick question on the take off configuration of this aircraft.
I want to depict the aircraft taking off with the main wheels still on ground but the nose wheel in the air.
What is the position of the horizontal stabilizer? Does it move up slightly, which logically should be to point the nose up. However, pictures of plane take off doesn’t show much deflection. -
Excellent built.
I bought this book recently while traveling. Maybe one day I will buy the kit to build, when I have sorted out the space for display.

Can’t spend the money means I need to take the trouble and creativity to fabricate my flaps. Finally decided to build the flaps like how I built my first balsa wood glider; do it the good old fashion way.
So the first set of inner wing TE flaps cut from 2mm styrene sheets, sanded to shape.

Moving along as planned
3 piece meal cooked. Completed the 3 pieces of flaps…..3 more sets to go. And more Krueger flaps to come!……I am going crazy!-
