  1. Thanks everyone! Yeah very pleased, was worried it was going to look a bit rubbish. Room for improvement but for a first time I'm very happy. Even if my shuttering for the resin failed and half of spilt all over my desk
  2. A snowy, muddy Tiger 2 knocked out in a ditch in winter 1945. Took a lot of time and for my first use of snow and resin I'm pretty happy with the results!
  3. Well it's been a while. Decided that tucked away in a little courtyard would be funner to build. I'm going to have the new transmission in a delivery box that I've yet to build as putting in another vehicle with a crane was just too much work. I've got the base paint done along with a bit of weathering. Really enjoying this at the minute.
  4. Sorry for the late reply! But I found them on ebay. I can't exactly remember what they were called. Its difficult trying to find foam that is perfect for carving buildings eh!
  5. Got a little bit more done, a little bit of chipping but not too much. Also dremeled the seats out so it looks like they've been sat on Also added some tools and an oil can at the back as obviously this is going to be in the middle of some serious work. Still a lot do inside but it's getting there! The eagle eyed amongst you notice the red platform between the gun and engine compartment has been hacked down to make the little motor fit. No idea what I've done but it didn't fit so I had to give it a wee bit of persuasion at the business end of a hobby blade.
  6. I've got a bit further. I've found that an interior build is a real mix of building and painting and stopping yourself building too much at once. I'm also being made to think as to what would be removed to take a transmission out, what parts need fitting and what parts don't. As it looks half decent at the end of it though that's all I'm after! I'm absolutely certain something will go catastrophically wrong at some point before then though 😆
  7. Hi all. Always fancied doing a diorama of a vehicle undergoing some maintenance so I decided to go with the Jagdpanther as with the hatches open and the gun removed you will be able to see a good deal of the inside. It will eventually be set in a Normandy hedgerow with the transmission being replaced. I'm taking inspiration from this photo I went with rye field model as I really enjoy the kits they make and so far at this early stage this one hasn't disappointed. God damn is there a lot of plastic though! It has a clear roof but I've used some tamiya extra thin and stippled it so once it's painted you won't be able to tell. And yes, that is a motocross bike in my living room!
  8. The tank commander is from the tamiya tank crew set and the 3 infantry figures are from master box! The 2 by the building are german signals set and the mg is from German infantry defence. Obviously not as good as resin but they will do!
  9. Turned up, looks pretty good if I say so myself!
  10. I was after an F is I find them more aesthetically pleasing than the earlier versions with the stubby barrels, nothing more than that really haha. But I've bought that Sturm Infanterie Geschutz, that will make a cracking centre piece to what I've got planned! Thank you Das Abteilung! Wealth of knowledge as ever
  11. Thanks both, I think with Dragon being the only F varient I can find and with shipping being hideously expensive or having to wait until July to get it I think I'll go with the Tamiya panzer IV. Yes longbow I agree, there is a ridiculous amount of choice when it comes to G but practically nothing when it comes to F!
  12. Hi all, planning on making a Stalingrad diorama around the long barrelled version of the stug. I believe that in stalingrad this would have been the F /f8 varient (feel free to correct if I'm wrong) but I'm finding them really really difficult to find. So does anyone know where I could find one that isn't £158, or if I could just convert an E to an F? As I believe it was just a longer barrel and a roof fan? If I can't build or find what I'm after I'll just go with the Tamiya panzer IV G.
  13. Hhmmm I'll look into that, glad you spotted it while it's only had a very rough base coat! I'm sure it's me assembling it wrong
  14. Haha I didn't notice that! Thanks! I basically just plagiarised ideas from Night-shift and propaganda channels on YouTube haha. Along with a few of own ideas. I have made a few mistakes, I used this sculpting foam that I found on amazon which was great to work with but its probably given me some horrendous lung disease along the way so I will use the same foam I used to make the road for my next project. I also used building sand to replicate the mortar between the bricks which is much more stoney than I thought, so I will just use neat cement and kiln dried sand on my next one. Still lots to but it looks okay even if I say so myself!
  15. So not exactly a build from the start but still a hell of a long way to go. After really enjoying my last project of a panther D at kursk I was really looking forward to another project. As I get bored easily I like making dioramas as I can jump between different objects. It's my first attempt at a house, while it's nowhere close to finished I'm still pretty happy with it. I used a rye field model kit as I really like them. I used toilet paper and pva to do the barrel camo and masterclub tracks. I did the base coat and then moved on to the house (yeah there's that getting bored easily haha) I have a few figures coming as well, the scene will basically be the crew have stopped for a cup of tea.
