  1. I don't have access to them right now as I'm at work but I imagine the form 541 or combat reports has him listed as flying W3312?
  2. I wonder if this is to tie in with Masters of the Air? I know the G variant would also work but the Bombers of the 8th would surely have been coming up against the K variant in the latter stages. This is their way of tying in the with show while also doing something a bit different?
  3. Yeah it just seems the most logical and obvious choice. There will be a Kiwi link, its a Spitfire companion, they can do multiple versions, it will be a good seller.
  4. No that's definitely not how they intended that to be read. The differences between a Mk.II and a Mk.I are minuscule anyway. Making a judgement on the instructions the Mk. I, V, IX, and XIV are what they call the "most notable" along with the Seafire Mk. III and the PR Mk. XI. So I would be surprised if they strayed from those! Now I guess the "Seafire" is technically "Not a Spitfire" but I can't see them going there as I imagine it might cause a bit of backlash. The more and more I think about this the more I think it will be a Hurricane Mk. I. And I suspect they'll do rag and metal wings as separate releases (so early and late).
  5. Maybe eventually. But one poor selling release early on could cripple them. There's safety in Spits, Hurris, 109s, Mustangs etc. so I would be very surprised if we see anything outside of that wheelhouse for a few years yet.
  6. I'd be shocked if this was anything other than a Hurri or 109. They're still a young company so it will be a long while before they move away from the guaranteed hits.
  7. If they do Spits and 109s i 1/32 you'll have the usuals sulking though. Bring on all the SWW RAF and Luftwaffe aircraft says I.
  8. I think we will all have to buy many Spitfires and variants before we get t Fairey Fruitbats
  9. Given the quality I don't think the price is unreasonable at all.
  10. That's... actually not that bad really. Given the state of the word and the niche nature of the product... I will take it! (and 1500 others too if I could...)
  11. Anyone know what the price is expected to be? I think I will build Al Deere's from the box but would like to build Brian Lane's at some point too.
  12. All three schemes are also featured in Wing Leader's excellent book on the Mk I.
  13. I'm really interested to see what the price point will be on this. Between this and the Airfix 1/24 Mk IX it is going to be a good bit expensive year for Spitfire fans.
  14. Nothing exciting kit wise but those rivet decals could be interesting.
  15. AK's Real Colours book on WWII aircraft gives paint chips and details on the colours. As with everything RAF it seems different shades for different periods of the war.
  16. I've gotten the tin before but not with a kit in it!
  17. It is up now. https://www.eduard.com/out/media/distributors/leaflet/leaflet2022-04en.pdf If you change the "04" part of the link to 03 you will get March and if you change it to 05 in a months time you will get May!
  18. When they eventually release their 1/48 Hurricane they need to do a Spit and Hurricane boxing for all 10 Irish Battle of Britain pilots. I will buy enough to make them all!
  19. Only 4 more years to go 😬 Think I’ll build an Airfix one in the meantime!!
