  1. As someone who can't stick to a subject type at all, I love seeing people dedicated to building in a specific genre (my Dad was 1/72 RAF only, but without being time specific). These all look great, as yours always do.
  2. That's a really nice collection of planes, great range of schemes as well. All finished really well too, I especially love the Phantom, that's a phenomenal amount of detail and paint job for 1/72 😀
  3. That's a great and varied collection. I love the Gannett, and the first Whirlwind, excellent.
  4. As mentioned already, it light only be five, but they are all great. I really love the markings for the Halifax, and the finish on the wings as well.
  5. That's a stunning collection of aircraft, all beautifully finished. They are all so consistently well finished, it's difficult to pick a favourite, I'd probably lean to the Defiant, but only because I like the aircraft 😉
  6. What a super collection. I'm between the Hellcat and the Blenheim for a favourite, but they are all excellent.
  7. My plans don't stretch much past the group builds I'm interested in either, got a few twins up first (He-111, B25, Mosquito and others if I get through all those in 1/32). I'll be continuing work on my 1/350 USS Alabama in the background. Other than that, I want to do my USS Montana for the project cancelled GB. I've got no specific plans past that, I'll probably do some AFV and cars/bikes to mix up the builds, but I tend to decide those as and when I'm ready.
  8. I've just taken delivery of trumpeter's 1/350 Marseillaise to add to the ship collection from Jadlam Racing, I topped it up with a Revell e-type to get the most out of my loyalty points (which let me have the car for less than nothing). I'm a bit of a jadlam fan boy tbh good prices and service, and they are west country based, so quite local too.
  9. Agreed on all that (we may have mentioned them before, I can't remember much these days, too busy). I think the victory models kits are really nice, the instructions are on the better side as well, but very comparable to Caldercraft overall. Hopefully my speed will improve, I find them hard going because I'm learning everything from scratch, whereas in plastic I'm building on skills that go back to childhood and just refining painting and weathering skills. I've got a few more wooden ones in the stash (most are bigger than these two as well), so I'll need to improve on the 1 per decade that these two are heading towards 😉
  10. I've got two going technically, a Victory Models Lady Nelson to test and practice techniques on and the Caldercraft Mary Rose as the main event. I've just started second planking on the former and not quite finished first planking on the latter. Been at them for nearly 3 years now 🫣
  11. Stunning Bertie, you're making better progress on your wooden creations than I am, mine hasn't had much change this year at all. I love all the details visible in this "small" boat and you've executed it all really nicely
  12. That looks great, I really like the low key weathering and the base is really effective as well. All in all this is really well executed. I'm off to look at the other panzers in your collection now 😁
  13. I've not built the Airfix Cromwell, but I'd live by that rule the vast majority of the time, I think I've got less than 10 Airfix kits in the whole stash, but probably in 3 figures for Tamiya, so I guess I'm a fanboy too 😉. They're pretty hard to match in the bang for your buck stakes.
  14. Impressive for such a tiny model, your painting is neat as a pin.and managing to get weathering on it, even at that scale, fair play 😁
  15. Thanks, I can't take any credit other than managing to assemble the kit, it's a very detailed, albeit pretty fiddly kit.
  16. Hi All In the year I first foray into making models of cars, I thought I'd add a show truck to that list as well - why not right? Variety is the spice of life and all that supposedly. Here's my choice, Italeri's DAF XF105 in the Space America livery. I must admit, it went together a lot quicker than I thought it would, but then it is essentially a big box on a chassis (no engine and other complexities modelling on this kit). Had a few fit issues round the cab (especially at the top), which needed more CA than I wanted to resolve, hence the windscreen fogging. Other than that, pretty smooth sailing really, the decals went on pretty easily, bit of trimming needed to uncover the side indicators, but otherwise a fun build.
  17. Hi All Just posting some photos of my Triumph 3HW motorcycles from Bronco. I thought these would be a quick project, but they are so intricate, they turned out to be anything but. I built them a couple of years back, but brought them out to photograph and added a tiny bit of mud in the process.
  18. Hi All Another older model given a new lease of life. I've got a before photo for this one, it was in a bit of a sorry state, broken track, frosted varnish, massively over-painted: And here it is now, following a bit of TLC, repainting and a little bit of weathering, not perfect but quite the improvement I feel, hope you enjoy.
  19. That's a really nice finish to a very striking colour scheme. I've not seen this car before, it's got a nice style to it, almost like a ford Capri, which I also love.
  20. That's an amazing model, I love the effect you've produced under the waterline, it's really convincing.
  21. As noted by so many here already, this is spectacular. The kind of finish most of us aspire to, although I can say for myself that I don't have the patience to maintain any project that intense for so long. It deserves every award it wins, thanks for sharing.
  22. That is superb, I love the F5, it looks deadly, probably more than it is relative to it's comtempories. You've done a great job of it and the camo is cool
  23. Very nice, the digital scheme looks hard to replicate, you've pulled it off really nicely, did you mask.it.off or hand paint it?
  24. That is so impressive, I've not been brave enough to try a full interior, I'm still not, but here's inspiration for when I do 😃. Great presentation as well, looks just like the exploded diagrams you get in books.
  25. That is superb for 1/72, if my 1/32 looks half that good when I build it, I'll be super happy, great finish.
