    Hi,

    excellent model, looking great.

I love this kit: it is superbly engineered, easy to build as well as precise and very cheap.

Not a kit for children only.

Only thing letting it slightly down are the decals that could be better. Your painting is really good.

    Congrats.

    JR

Colleagues, thank you very much for your feedback!

  2. Hello everybody!
Collected with minor modifications a children's set from the manufacturer "Zvezda".
A little about the modifications of the model:
    - slightly modified cockpit (belts, sight, wiring, dashboard)
    - thinned the blades
    - machine guns (needles)
    - modified the rear chassis niche
    - antenna (spandex)
    - PITO tube
    - fixed BANO
    - tubes to the front landing gear
    - balancers for ailerons
    - keel lantern
The car belonged to (Stab I_JG54 "Grünherz", pilot Hptm. Hans Philipp, Krasnogvardeysk, March 1942)
Painting and varnishing with brushes. Paint: GSI mr.Color urethane acrylic, Tamiya and PC88 acrylics, Tamiya varnish + plain pencil.
    Happy viewing.

Wow! From what I have read, this is NOT an easy kit to build, but you have certainly done a great job with yours- very nice paintwork, too! :like:

The tip is that the current Polish insignia looks like your Yak - white is the top left field and the bottom right field. But from December 1918 to February 1993, the opposite was true - the top left and bottom right squares were red. Both in the Polish aviation until 1939, in the Polish squadrons of the RAF, in the Polish regiments on the Eastern Front and in the aviation of the Polish People's Republic after 1945.

    Cheers

    Michael

KRK4m, thank you so much for the hint! Now I will know how to do it right, because in the plans for the future, there are also cars with Polish identification marks ...

  5. Hello everyone who visited! This is my first model built. Mastering even painting over large areas, revision and manufacturing of parts and assemblies. Of course, a lot has been missed, but I'm still happy. ) Machine ownership (1962, Australia, Melbourne, Norwa base, Royal Navy) (Codes 828)
Painting and varnishing with brushes. Paints: GSI Urethane Acrylic Mr. Color, Tamiya Acrylic, Tamiya Varnish.
    Enjoy viewing!

Outstanding work! You’re making this ancient lump of plastic as good as a modern Hasegawa kit! I especially like all the little bumps you’ve added, and most of all you’ve got rid of raised panel lines. Brilliant.

You are doing some beautiful work on this and very clean too. Good to see this old kit getting some care.

    Extremely sharp and tidy build.

However there is one doubt - do you have a photo of this very aircraft?

Were the chessboard insignia turned 90 degrees from the regulation ones for sure?

    Cheers

    Michael

    KRK4m, thanks for the tip!

You definitely noticed this, I did not find photos of this side, only a side drawing. In theory, this code should have been, the decal was drawn from something ..! Shakhovitsa may have displayed incorrectly ...

I would like to view your early models to see how you progressed so fast. I thought you had been practicing for decades.

I read recently on one of the announcement threads from the moderators, that it's ok to show swastikas and slogans on models if historically accurate.

It is not ok to use them in signature blocks or banners. So your models should be fine.

IF I'M WRONG ABOUT THAT GUYS, PLEASE CORRECT ME SOONEST. I'M A NEW GUY TOO!

This path has not been fast, and I am not naturally talented. For several years I have been buying ready-made cheap models of cars and tractors on a scale of 1:43. I looked through forums a lot, read, watched videos. I bought paints, brushes and other accessories and practiced. At that time, I did not have an understanding in which technical direction they were moving to me. Then (in 2017) I purchased an ARKmodels helicopter set (ex-FROG / NOVO). And with this set he began to seriously engage in aircraft modeling.

No, there is no limit to the models you can display. And please do not stop.

You have only been modelling for four years and your models are so good. (You know that by our reactions. ) I look forward to seeing what you will do in the years to come.

I also look forward to seeing the remainder of the 40. (My goodness, you make them in a month! )

    Keep up the good work!

    Your photography is good too!

Bertie Psmith, It's not worth showing everything, but I can demonstrate some of the first educational attempts at modeling. Also, there are models with a swastika and a Soviet plane with a slogan for enemies (I think they shouldn't be shown on this forum either, so as not to cause a negative reaction?!)
