  1. Hello Duncan B, I'm still alive and about. Life took hold rearing my awesomely terrific two young lovely kids, been through two homes both needed plenty of refurb, demanding but a satifying job, chores, chores, chores and now a divorce left me with little time but to collect models and fiddle with a few kits. It's been a tough couple of years but I plan on getting myself back to what I love doing best...modelling! I consider myself still in the hobby though and I hope to knock something out here soon with a little break coming ahead. Currently working on a 1/48 Spit IX.c and a MIG-21PFM, both from Eduard. Very nice break in kits for me to get back in to the game. Amazing how flawless they fit together so far. Best regards and thank you all for the compliments. Still amazed that this old posting is still being looked over.
  2. Thanks Mike and glad to be able to post something to this forum. I always have wanted to but my build output has been little lately with a newborn on my hands this year. I look forward to making future contributions very much so. Yours truly, John
  3. Hello Bob and thank you for the kind words. I cheated and used Eduard painting masks for this project. I prefer masking tape and bare metal foil for my masking needs as you can see in my later Ju-88 "Berlin" nose posting. Take care! John
  4. Thank you all for your very kind words on my He-177 project. I cheated on the He-177 masking by using some precut Eduard masks. Personally I have always found the precut mask system to be inferior to plain ol' masking tape or bare metal foil. My "Berlin" nose Junkers (A previous consingment job too!)was masked by bare metal foil and I believe the results are much more sharp and consistent with the framing. Enjoy and sorry I can't answer all your questions at once.
  5. I wanted to share with you all, pictures of my third consignment build to a gentleman living in the U.K. It is MPM's 1/48th Hi-Tech edition with resin. Enjoy!
