  1. And still do! - https://davidjparkins.com/product/a-w-whitley-mk2-3-conversion-and-detail-set/ David Parkins Flightpath www.davidjparkins.com
  2. Upgraded set for Revell kit coming out in January. We will update site with images late December. David Parkins Flightpath www.davidjparkins.com
  3. Set coming back in revised format over the winter. We have no stocks left from the older set, sorry. David Parkins Flightpath https://davidjparkins.com/
  4. In case it is of interest - we'll be putting up a pre-release annoucement on our web site about the Ferret in 3-4 weeks. Generic detail sets, conversions, crew figures and more. And yes, the area you mention has received attention! David Parkins Firing Line https://davidjparkins.com/
  5. My suggestion would be to wait a little. You never know what might be around the corner. We'll be putting something substantial up on our web site about Sea Kings in around 3-4 weeks. A lot of this relating to the Airfix offering, and some to the Hasegawa. Don't write this kit off, as a lot of people will already have them stashed away. I'm now very familar with both kits, obviously. The Airfix one is obviopusly better in most respects, but not in all areas. David Parkins Flightpath https://davidjparkins.com/
  6. Lord Riot Don't pay it! - we've got an updated B1/B1A set coming out reasonably soon for the current Airfix kit. Same with the B1 Victor for the Airfix kit. Will put images up on our web site nearer the time. Regards David Parkins, Flightpath https://davidjparkins.com/
  7. Thanks for your input - much appreciated. Several of those items are on the list already. Best regards David
  8. Well only for a short while. Obviously our sets are specifically for the Hasegawa/Revell kits [which has also just been re-released]. We might do more limited stuff for the Airfix kits but obviously that's a whole different thing. Depends what can be improved on I guess!
  9. I suppose your comments in a way are as much about what a person wants from the hobby. I have three old Airfix Bristol Mk.32 Superfreighter kits for a proposed diorama of Bournemouth [Hurn] airport as remember it in 'Silver City' days. To my mind there will be far more satisfaction in that project than building a state of the art modern kit. But I found the CA kit to be no more difficult than the Airfix, and both have good areas. BTW I don't think you'll get a top drawer price on our 'old' detail set for the CA/SH kit, as it is current on our web site and from Hannants, and has never been out of production!
  10. I have built both the CA and the Airfix Ansons and both have their own merits - and I have a strong affection for the products of both companies. I think it might come down partly to whether you like to savour a build, take your time over it, and really stamp your own identity on it - anmdcertainly in that respect, the CA kit will be somewhat more rewarding than the Aifix build. Us modellers tend to be a fickle bunch and before there was the Airfix kit, we were all very grateful for the CA Anson. Now there might be a tendency to look at the CA kit as having nothing to offer, which in my humble opinion is far from being the case. Of course what we really want now is a Mk.19 Anson! 11. Might be of help - https://www.djparkins.com/home.php?cat=388 Posted in modesty as I didn't sculpt them!!! David Parkins Flightath
  12. Yes they will - sorry I thought we were only talking about the UK Westland versions. At the very least there will be HAR3, AEW2, HC4 anbd HAS5/6 sets from us. As has been said, we already do the Air Filter and a generic set for the Hasegawa kit as supplied. DJP
  13. Yes most probably - but we'll see how it all shakes down. DJP/Flightpath
  14. That is because newer versions of all the sets are returning later in the year. DJP/Flightpath
  15. The Flightpath link seems a bit expensive compared to - https://www.djparkins.com/product.php?productid=17864&cat=250&page=2 And it is in stock for immediate delivery! Plus, we do other surfaces too - Sommerfeld Airfield Tracking https://www.djparkins.com/product.php?productid=17865&cat=250&page=2 and Bar and Rod Tracking https://www.djparkins.com/product.php?productid=17866&cat=250&page=2 Entry awaiting image. Hope this is helpful. David Parkins Flightpath www.djparkins.com
  16. Excellent. If you do perhaps you'll sell me a couple of sets!!! Regards DJP/Flightpath www.djparkins.com
  17. Afraid you won't get intakes. It would push the end user cost with VAT up just too far, as these will have to be made at 2022 pattern making costs, plus the extra resin involved. The set would end up with an RSP of probably over £40-45. The intakes were not included in the original DB set and so cannot be simply re-worked - the costings for the patterns for the other parts were amortised years ago. Hence the viability of doing the set. Same with the Victor Mk.1 & Mk.2 stuff. Once these sets and the generic Vulcan & Victor etched sets are out that is all the V bomber stuff we'll be doing. DJP/Flightpath
  18. Hello Reparty - Well those grilles are already actually on our new generic etched set for the Airfix Vulcan - ready within next week or two. We are just finishing the instructions for that set, then it will go up on the web site. There will be no etched parts in the new Vulcan B1/1A wing/tail/undercarriage set when it comes out. Looking at that photo reminds me of when one of the guys at Pendine Sands offered us a 'free' Victor K1 forward fuselage/cockpit section. Obviously we would have to have gotten a low-loader to transport it, but not one of us there thought we could have gotten away with having it in our front garden! Regards to All DJP/Flightpath www.djparkins.com
  19. The Vulcan Mk.1 Set is not currently available. It will not work with the new kit. We have Mk.1 Conversion Sets in progress for both the newer and older Airfix Vulcan, and one for the Airfix Victor kits for release maybe around late summer/early Autumn - but here in West Wales we don't do firm deadlines. 20. Check out our web site in a week or two - new set matched to the Airfix kits. DJP/Flightpath www.djparkins.com
  21. None taken Ant! It was a attempt at wry humour. More generally, PP never did a Lightning Set [only an access ladder & I think some missile handling trollewys in 72nd]. Certainly we never got any tooling for any Lightning set in any scale as part of the purchase. Our own set was later, as the Airfix 48th kit did not come out until after we bought the PP range.
  22. Nothing to do with us. But hey, everyone else knows our kits better than we do! DJP/Flightpath www.djparkins.com
  23. Thanks. We are are closed for holidays until the end of this week but will dispatch immediately upon our return!
  24. A lot of conjecture on this thread so far and so it might be useful to have this input. Firstly - Flightpath is not a company - it is a range of kits within my company. Four ranges at present, and soon to be eight with the purchase of other ranges that will in effect double the size of the company in terms of inventory [none of these new acquisitions are millitary or aviation focused]. So given the above there is no way we could be a one-man company! I have been investgating cloning but had very little success so far! The tag sizes on the etched parts are the minumum our etchers are really happy with. They could be a little smaller and were - but I was constantly tiring of getting sheets where parts had twisted back and were either damaged or had parted company with the etched sheet entirely - then it is a faff organising replacement sheets from the etchers. On our frets we almost invariably give extras of the very smallest parts. I would NEVER use a scalpel to cut out etched parts. I always use various sizes of quality scissors, such as from Friskars. With these , you can cut hard against the edge of the part and have far less [if any] cleaning up of the tag to do afterwards. Another thing to confident and succesful etched part construction is to have a geed range of folding and bending tools. Hold & Fold or Etchmate and goor smooth-jawed pliers. The Small Shop Brass Assit Rolling Tool is good too. If the frets might appear 'industrial' then let me assure you they are almost filigree when compared to our model railway kits which generally are etched on much much thicker material. A point to remember is that with some other sets on the market they are look-pretty little stick-on additions that are simply added to the kit surface. Whilst our sets do include some of these, there are almost always much larger parts that have to be folded up and glued or soldered together into assemblies. Try using .005" brass or nickel silver for such an assembly and see how far you get! Happy Modelling & Best to All, David Parkins, Flightpath www.djparkins.com
