  1. Thanks, I appreciate the info. I was interested in modelling a U.S. M48A3 serving in post-war S. Korea during the 1960's but there are more photos of the tanks service in Vietnam, so digging up markings info will be tough. Thanks again.
  2. Building an M48a3 in 1/35 scale. Does anyone know if tge M48a3 served anywhere other than Vietnam? I have only seen photographs of this variant in Vietnam. Did it serve anywhere else or was this variant only made for service in Vietnam? Any info or photos are helpful, thank you
  3. Sorry, I cant see the image from Net Maquettes that shows the weld seem
  4. Awesome, this helps. Any photos available that can help differentiate this? The T-54/55 family has always been a headache for me to identify, but being one of the most common tanks in the post-WW2 period, its a cool subject to model. I am currently thinking of building a North Korean T-54, but its virtually impossible to find good reference photos. I purchased a Trumpeter T-54A, and I am not sure if this kit could be used to try and replicate such a subject.
  5. Are there any visual differences between a T-54A and a Chinese Type 59 tank? If so, what are they?
  6. I am wanting to tackle a project of building North Korean armour. Ive built T-34s in Korean War markings but I was planning on building T54/55s and T62s in NK markings. There are no decals or aftermarket accessories that I know of, and this may be a scratch building project. Any suggestions on markings and numbers or paint schemes, or better yet, tips on modelling NK armour. Some photos from NK parades Ive seen show NK tanks with Korean lettering (Hangul) on them. How can I replicate this aspect? Thanks for any tips provided.
  7. The kit is supposed to, but since I bought this kit used, the pods were not in the kit so I assumed they were damaged when I got it. Am hoping to find suitable replacements.
  8. I'm working on an old Frog 1/72 Blackburn Buccaneer; I am curious as to what those two tiny pods close to the wing edges are. They are not bomb pods either. I see some pictures of this aircraft with them, but other aircraft I see in other photos don't have them. Just what are they? They don't appear to be Pave Spike targeting pods. I am going to try to replicate them for the model I am building. Any tips on how to do so? Thanks for any help.
  9. It's hard for me to find good photos of the M1 Abrams in South Korea during the 1980's to early 1990's. I am wanting to build a 1/35 M1 Abrams in camo and decals of one stationed in S. Korea, but when someone mentions the Cold War, that is typically not a place people think of when building a model unless it's a Korean War (1950-1953) topic. Any help in locating photos or decals for such a project would help a lot. Thanks.

  11. I'm fond of older model kits and military subjects, but I've stumbled across an unusual kit. The 1/35 scale T-74 from Esci. As far as I know, there's no such thing as a Soviet T-74 tank. Where did this come from?
  12. Any tips on sanding tricky to get to areas? Particularly on aircraft, where wing roots or engines on wings have small hard to reach areas, that if sanded, will result in rather uneven sanded finish?
  13. You're AWESOME! I didn't realize there was this much info on transport units. Thank you so much. Yes, I am interested in photos, as I haven't seen many on google. My email is flyinghorse90s@gmail.com
  14. What can anyone tell me about He-111's used as transports. As WWII drew to a close, I read short pieces regarding their use as transports dropping supplies on bypassed German troops in France and even during the Battle of Berlin in 1945. I haven't seen any photos or references of HE-111's in transport roles, but I have read them mentioned, and I am interested in making a 1/72 HE-111 in transport markings. Any help is appreciated .
