  1. I guess those grooves shouldn't be parallel due to both nozzles and adyacent last segment of ring are slightly dropped in real life, but that's the minor of your problems... One of the reasons stopped me to get this set is the fact nozzles are not represented in fully open (neutral) position as seen on parked aircraft, this resin set is more useful if you are building an in-flight model even if they are not fully closed. I am still wondering why Eduard did this! The detail of this set is superb but I consider Aires' offer is still the most adequate set for 1/48th kit so far. The same problem occurs with a resin aftermarket nozzle set in 1/32 out there... Here a look at actual nozzle. Regards.
  2. Great shots here! I ignored Tornado F3 carried ALE-40 during Operation Granby. Keep them coming. Cheers!
  3. If you are planning to build an Operation Granby plane and looking for inspiration then you should check these great photos several taken from the cockpit. Not sure if you already knew but it works for my Bucc project: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pinkfin1/sets/ Cheers.
  4. Wrong area and 100 post rule.
  5. Hi Brits! Progress continues, it's time to glue the intakes. Inside the Super Bug... Masking and painting. I Hope u like it Cheers.
  6. Oh it's a misunderstanding I meant "Intakes dipped in latex paint" instead "Intakes dipped in Future"... sorry. It's well explained by Pete the technique creator: Pete's intakes The next time I will use primer instead latex to get even better results. Filling seams over flaps area. Dryfitting bang seats and crew. Some dryfitting. Opening auxiliary intakes on rear fuselage. Dryfitting the intake movable doors. More photos coming...
  7. The last US Navy plane I builtwas an A-6E Intruder a pair of years ago, you can appreciate it here >> Intruder This I'm gping with a Super Bug which started as a quick project but became long term debt to not enough free time to build, you know... I am using Hasegawa kit with no aftermarket parts except for VFA-102 decals from Two Bobs and some light scratchbuilding. Here we go... Painted some details at the cokpit, it will feature crew figures and canopy closed. Filling injection marks over the Rhino legs. Intakes dipped in future to get a smooth finishing. Mores shots coming quickly. Cheers.
  8. Thanks so much for comments, glad you like to see a foreign Typhoon project around here... Hey Tom, thanks for the info mate! I confess I am very tempted to change plans and go with a fresh Saudi Tiffie: http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2397 Anybody releasing decals for this RSAF baby??
  9. Hi Brits, intruducing myself first. My name is Eduardo Cardenas and I live in Peru, I have been wandering around Britmodeller for several weeks since Brit jets is one of my favorite themes together with Latin and Russian jet birds. I really didn't have this project in mind until I saw Tom Stewart's stunning work on Tiffie. It will be in Spanish markings then I will save the Storm Shadow plastic missiles for a future Telic Tornado. Help from Bobski has been pretty useful to continue this project. I got this kit in Ecuador for only 12 USD, I am not using any aftermarket goodie but some scratchbuilding will help. I started scratchbuilding the gas exhaust at the fin base, a missing detail in the plastic kit, some brass and soldering worked fine. Then the office as usual, remade some few details and painted. The bang seat is not added jet, I hope to add some details before glueing it to the tub, maybe I will add some decals for the MFD and respective buttons around to get a better look. Drilling the vent grills on both sides of the intake... Rivet details over the wings of real Typhoons captured my attemption from the beginning, so I decided to attack this stage while I still had that enthusiasm needed, a hard work indeed! I had to build my own riveting tool, an old watch gear attached to a toothbrush handle. The fin areas received the riveting work as well. Well it's all the progress I have at moment, comments and critics are welcome as usual. God save the Queen!
