  1. Couldn’t find a single photo of a Ju 86 of KGr.z.b.V. S 21 or KGr.z.b.V. 22 there. What did I miss?
  2. Is there anyone who is able to post some reference photos?
  3. Thank you G.R! I have ordered Stalingrad Airlift, To Save An Army and Stopped at Stalingrad today as well as Nowarra’s book on the Ju 52. It will be interesting by to dive into this operation so to speak. I find the emergency use of the Ju 86 to be of some fascination and have already ordered the Italeri kit with this particular subject in mind.
  4. They were used by KGr.z.b.V.21 and 22 which were formed to supply the pocket from December until January. When formed into action they had 58 aircraft. By January they had lost 42 of their aircraft.
  5. Does anyone have a list of which aircrafts were used during the Stalingrad airlift? What version(s) of the Ju 86 were used?
  6. Thanks guys! I have decided to go for the Dragon kit.
  7. Can anyone recommend a good reference book on the An-124 Ruslan?
  8. Yes, they were used but to a more limited extent. The Stielgranate 41 grenade was introduced in early 1943 which gave the gun some capability against medium tanks albeit at a limited distance.
  9. Thanks Jerry! That was what I needed, very helpful!
  10. Thanks! It helps a bit not not quite what I was after. I could use some images which shows the whole cockpit.
  11. I am looking for reference pictures of the cockpit of the Dornier 217J-1. Can anyone help?
  12. Germania recently released a couple of 3D printed sets with the V1. These sets included cart, crew, ramp and so on. Might be worth checking out. Otherwise I quite liked the Italeri version.
  13. I would like to concur with this recommendation. I got one second hand from Ebay and found it very nice.
  14. Thanks for all the suggestions! Was thinking about the Hobbyboss kit but as was noted the props are turned the wrong way and the correction kit seems hard to find.
  15. I am looking at getting a 1/72 Dornier Pfeil. What are the best options around?
  16. Yes I think that will be my choice. Thanks!
  17. Thanks, I don’t want to come across as ungrateful, but as I stated in my first post I would - if possible - depict an aircraft on the European or North African theatre. A59-75 SF-Q of 13 Sqn RAAF was as far as I understand it in the Pacific. Would I need to change the armament as Geoffrey suggests?
  18. Thanks but none of those can be built OOTB from the ZTS Plastyk kit I think as one has a different turret and one has the desert engine filters. 🙂
  19. Thanks but as I wrote I would prefer RAF or Commonwealth markings.
  20. I see. So, but is the origin of the ZTS Plastyk kit FROG then?
  21. As part of a batch of kits I bought the ZTS Plastyk Lockheed Ventura PV-1 was included. As I understand it this is a re-box of the FROG kit (more well-known while re-boxed by Academy. I would like to build this one as a RAF, RAAF or other Commonwealth version for Europe or North Africa if possible. To do so I need decals (any suggestions?) but is there anything else I need to consider to adjust for it to represent a Ventura V (GR.V)?
  22. Thanks but I stick to 1/72! Was also looking for something more sophisticated than using an Airfix 1/76 Tiger I 8,8 cm gun. 😶
  23. Thanks for the advices and links! I saw the MPM kit and got curious. I haven’t ordered it but have Revell, Airfix and Academy 262’s in my stash. I ordered the Schatton BK 5 cm metal barrel which looks like an excellent thing to add with the pepperpot muzzlebrake.
  24. What is the best option to go for making a 1/72 Me 262 A-1a/U4?
