  1. The good old '163 Academy requires various interventions, both in the cockpit area…

The specimen being built is the Me163 B V45, in charge of the Erprobungskommando 16, as it appeared in Bad Zwischenahn in July 1944. The following December it was used to test the SG500 rocket system, which caused irreparable damage to the airframe. The camouflage scheme, slightly different from that of most Komets, consists of RLM 81/82/76.

The fuselage decals are Print Scale 72-303 and, as always, the model is painted entirely by brush with Humbrol Enamels color blends.

  2. undercarriage doors

Great detail as usual! I don't see the criss-cross wire anymore on the finished model that you applied to the ailerons (?) It's a pity that so much detail is lost when closing the fuselage - but as in my own case: It's good to know that it is there.

Thank you ! The criss-cross wire is not on ailerons, but on the undercarriage doors internal side .

  3. Designed in 1935, the FW58 'Weihe' honorably performed the role of trainer, liaison, casualty transport aircraft War (earning it the nickname 'Leukoplast-Bomber') during the, but a small fraction of aircraft were also employed in the end of 1942 and the following year as an night assault/harassment aircraft on the Eastern Front. The SH kit is good, it also includes resin parts and a set of photoetched parts, but it's still a short run, so the modifications, big and small, have been numerous, especially in the cockpit

The aircraft chosen is a FW58 C belonging to the 1./Störkampfgruppe Luftwaffenkommando 'Ost', which operated in the Orel area in February/March 1943.

The rather simple camouflage was obtained with Humbrol Enamels applied exclusively with a brush; the decals are from OWL sheet D72009.
