  1. Thankyou Andre! Useful detail about the fuel tanks too! Wish you the best Pietro
  2. Jonathan, I can’t thank you enough for writing this... The details you provided were so interesting, you actually answered things I had been researching for a lot of time about these early aircrafts, questions I had no clear answer to till today. As you said, I would love to get my hands on the Double Ugly books...but they are incredibly rare and expensive were I live... The booklet you published is one I had never seen before, it’s a reference picture I will certainly use. Since you know so much about these early Phantoms, may I ask you one last question so this thread can become a future reference for anyone trying to represent this same subject? Some sources claim the underside was painted with light gull grey, while others say it was pale blue. I know the later aircrafts were pale blue... but did they keep that part of the SEA camo for the early ones? Thankyou so much again. Wish you all the best. Pietro
  3. My question was wether there’s any photo evidence of this marking scheme, but the detail I was more interested in were the walkway colors. So thankyou for the answer!
  4. Thankyou for your interest! I’ve seen the 08 photo from the IsraDecal book...But as you said the walkways aren’t visible... Let me know if you happen to find out anything!
  5. I can't find any photo reference of Kurnass 608. The only two schemes I can find about it are from the instructions of my Italeri kit and an image from a dead site. I know number 608 was originally numbered 08, but again there's no photo I can find with the earlier number. My main concern is the accuracy of the yellow ''walk way'' markings. Is anyone familiar with this F-4? Thankyou!
  6. Are you sure about that? I was pretty sure I uploaded them the right way... I'll try this, thanks for the suggestion! I was having trouble getting th right shape but I think the tape solution should work.
  7. Hello! Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm an italian guy passing by and hoping to stay. I recently bought my first ever airbrush and I can't ait to paint my first kit (an f-4E from Italeri). I've always dreamt to fully paint my kits so, even though I'm a beginner, I've already experienced modelling in some ways (put together countless of bandai kits that didn't need glue or paint and put together Warhammer minis and handbrushed them). I'm especially passionate about cold war and modern aircrafts (my favourite jet is the beautiful Phantom II), and modelling is an excuse for me to learn more and more about these beautiful birds 🙂. Other than the military world I'm a big fan of more grounded sci-fi works and modern war fiction in general. I'm also a digital drawing enthusiast, I really like to draw characters and logos... I'm eager to show you my first kit. Completing this first project of mine would be an incredible achievement that I can't wait to share with some other modellers. Thankyou for reading my short introduction! And sorry for any English mistake (I practice listening and reading everyday but my writing could be kind of rusty...)
  8. Hello! I'm building an Italeri F-4E (actually converting it to a JASDF RF-4EJ). The kit has a lot of inaccurate details, but the one I can't figure out how to fix is the front gear door. The kit one is hollow: While the real one is like this: I really can't figure out how to make the provided one look a bit more accurate to the real aircraft. Does anyon more expert than me have some advice?🙂 Thankyou!
