  1. Absolutely. And it still looks grey in some conditions.
  2. By the way: Very close to a FS30118 swatch I have, but just slightly more greyish. think of a faded field drab jerrycan which got a clear coat.
  3. Results of raw umber + zinc white + glazing.
  4. Well there is a lot to tell about some dishes, chocolate, art and yes some music but GDMNt YES we have good beer! Glad the world enjoys it! Like they enjoy FN ....uhum...
  5. Rather olive nose and fuel tanks are different (rather 24079) from the dark green camo (24064)
  6. You could add just some black in theory. That would bring in 34064. But black is touchy in mixing, most unforgiving. And you would need to mix enough in advance. One can achieve a great ww2 US army olive drab by mixing black and RAL7008. But I never ever succeeded in making two exact same OD's with a different black in same ratios. ALmost always with the same black and different RAL7008. Says something, no?
  7. Had a look at the colours the kit gives. There is definitely something like a fresh Nato Green, but 100s more used nato greens. You can use any mix as long as it is greyish and drabby, not too dark. Gunze H303 is FS34102. That is quite "happy" green compared to any Nato Green IR. I'ld say throw in some H309 for a fresh dark version or even go for more drabby H304. My starting point is revell: 3 x 46 + 1 x 67
  8. Dirt and rust do look the same in B/W. But like I said, your model is "realistically aged" anyway.
  9. On picture it looks more saturated I guess than in real life, I'm sure that is ok. The contrast between the two greens looks more American (less) than Belgian (more difference) IMHO. Strange, since FS34102 is according to some sources a bit darker than 34097, no? But again it could be the light/pictur whatever. FS34097/FS34079 should behave indeed a bit like a slightly scaled 34102/34064 and the tan is perfect. @Casey ?
  10. https://www.facebook.com/etienne.ducarme/posts/pfbid035gtup5GvDgddi85R1D1tt4bPR53B8zZJAP2DwGh4zYTzgEopSc1DRS3oDejYqCdCl Bastogne Barracks. Pure RAL7021. Just a slight sheen is enough to capture the blue sky, which makes the grey look more blue than it is on itself. Details!
  11. Interesting. The effect of white is very fragile though. As I noticed in the ww1 drab dwellings. Gloss still adds the most chroma. The lightest chip here (AMS) is an official one, no?
  12. Astonishing the spread in waves is the same, but the lightness of the AMS595A higher...
  13. I think the lynx range with 120mm already is up for some Russian pain inflicting.
  14. Gloss paint wears to satin. Flat wears to satin. And both discolour.
  15. Leo 2a5 was a starting point of that "trap". The camo is hideous. Copied from a historical Bovington jagdtiger I´m sure. 😄 nothing a good jar of ral 6014 can't fix.
  16. Fresh restored aircraft 1:1 do have low contrast between greens. SEA scheme but German norm 83 as well, where fs34102 is swapped for the close ral6003.
  17. All colours are a starting point. Especially on aircraft and small scale.
  18. Yesterday, Rheinmetall presented the KF51 "Panther" in France. https://www.joint-forces.com/defence-equipment-news/54719-rheinmetall-presents-kf51-panther-at-eurosatory-2022 Recently the KF41 "Lynx" platform was presented and just some months ago a "light" (uhum) tank with 120mm gun based on the 41 chassis was presented https://www.edrmagazine.eu/mobility-and-firepower-rheinmetall-presents-the-lynx-120-mechanized-fire-support-vehicle Germans are having a ball and the budget is there ready for the taking. Little detail: both Panther and Lynx are ww2 era names. Will these be succesful and widespread as the Leopard has been? And will they be the base for a Europanzer since it already shares elements of both the Leo as Leclerc?
