  1. Hi I am currently building a Stirling Mk 1 that I wish to finish marked as OJ-N which crashed in December 1942 during a test flight, kill all 8 crew on board including my grandfather St G.Williams who was a flight engineer. The Squadron codes seem to be either White/grey or dark Red coloured - but I can find very little reference to the actual aircraft I am interested in - is there any guides that detail when different colours were used and how they were applied to different aircraft ? Is date thing or would it have depended on the particular squadron. Thanks in advance for any help offered, Birderman
  2. Hi New to this forum although I have been aware of it for a while and been a member of Airfix Tribute forum for while now... Use to make Airfix kits in the 60s and 70s but then had life that meant I stopped even though I never really lost interest. A few years ago my interest and building were rekindled and now I find more inspiring with all the online information and support that is available and itend to work through my stash but doing a better and longer lasting jib than what I used to do in my youth. Best wishes Birderman
