  1. Sorry for the late reply. Don's airbrush tips identified the problem. Bought a new needle bearing seal fitted it and, Hazzah! Problem solved. Many thanks for all your help guys.
  2. Well it's done. Not perfect, but I have stripes. Thanks everyone for there advice.
  3. Your probably right. I know that these stripes where quite often painted by hand at short notice. But I just like the thought of getting it to look nice as not everyone knows the same.
  4. OMG. For two days now I've been trying to mask up my Airfix PR.XVI Mosquito for invasion Stripes. Try as I might, I think I've done it right only to find the underside tanks didn't line up with black bands. This is before you try and match the other wing. It's so frustrating! I might be just very fussy, but I don't seem to be able to get them straight or even. Is there an easy way of doing this?
  5. Intially yes. Strip it down. Clean it out. Put it back together again. It then sprays ok for 10/15 minutes and the problem starts again......
  6. It appears to be most of the time. I had Surgery recently so for obvious reasons I didn't use it for at least two months. Now I'm back using it again and this keeps happening.
  7. Hi all, I have a Badger Patriot 105 airbrush which I use mainly acrylics through. Recently, I have been getting paint or cleaner blowing back through the trigger. At first I thought it was a blockage but now it happens after every use. Ive removed the moisture trap and cleaned the brush thoroughly but I'm not really sure why this happening. Any ideas? Regards Mark Johnson
  8. Yes I guess you're right. But a starting point would be great to have. Thanks again for help.
  9. It does appear that originally all Hunters were painted dark sea grey/dark green camouflage, transitioning to an overall green colour. Just as Diego said. Anyone know what green was used?
  10. Cheers guys. Lots to concider with this build.
  11. Thanks stever219. I was thinking 1/48 scale for this project/experiment. Anything I should add or change to that kit.?
  12. For many years a Hawker hunter E 423 lay in an airfield near my home as part of SWWAPS. My next project is to build this aircraft from an Airfix kit, unless anyone can name a better alternative. My idea is to paint half the aircraft as it would have looked as a serving aircraft with the Danish Air Force and the the other as it ended up looking very sorry for itself. My question is what colour scheme did Hunter's serving with DAF have? I have done a little research on this aircraft but haven't found any really good images, so I'm turning to you for help! Also, does anyone know of any aftermarket decals suitable for my project? Many thanks in advance
