  1. It's an acquired taste! I don't think that I liked it much at the time (2003) but it has definitely grown on me as when I see it in the cabinet today I'm more appreciative of the 'hippy' styling. Not sure how I would have fared in the 'flower power' era!
  2. Bloody hell! What a fine job of engineering you've done there. 👍
  3. A fantastic outcome to a thoroughly unenviable task.. Great work. 👍
  4. Thanks very much, chaps. Really appreciate your kind comments. 👍 Didn't add any info in the OP but this was the livery for the final round of the championship and Rossi's last ride on a Honda; he won both the race and championship. He moved to Yamaha for the following season... and won both the first race and championship.
  5. Cheers. 👍 Those are the Cartograf that come with the kit. An absolute joy to work with.
  6. A break from the standard Repsol Honda livery was most welcome - even though I initially wanted the usual, this 'out there' version was a bit more affordable at the time. No dedicated PE set but used appropriate odds and sods left over from other sets.
  7. Bonkers! That's what comes to mind. What a job. Very well done. 👍
  8. I think they might deserve the benefit of the doubt. There are bundles going up and not all of them are shown on screen. The order is often out-of sync too, so their careful planning based on the list will often be rendered useless. Not sure it's as easy as you think. 😛
  9. I don't miss much about the UK, but FoS is one of those few things. What a feast for the ears (and eyes)!
  10. Lovely work, especially the can and welds. 👍 Have you fashioned a rotating device to get the burnishing just right? Looking forward to seeing more.
  11. Thanks a lot. 👍 We're few and fair between. This calls for a celebration. (Max after winning at Brno in 98)
  12. Cheers. 👍 Thanks, mate. 👍 Looking forward to seeing the Duc. Much appreciated. 👍 I have his NSR from 98 already built, and the Camel Honda from 03 to do. Also have an 06 RCV that I'm keeping aside in the hope that I'll one day obtain Max's decals for the 05 Repsol Honda.
  13. I actually first completed this around three years ago but suffered bleed-through almost immediately so knew that the paint and decals had to be replaced - I've finally got around to this. Doubled up the Tamiya decals this time and hoping that the ST27 Marlboro ones are up to the job. (I didn't concoct my own paint colour this time, so should be safe) I'd certainly make a better job of some areas nowadays but had to stop somewhere with the making-good so it's just the paint and decals that are up-to-date. He wasn't popular with many but Max Biaggi was one of my favourite riders. I just loved his arrogance and suave style. I was even on his side during the Rossi rivalry. 😛 I'm not a fan of many 'flash Harrys' but Max certainly appealed to me. He definitely gave a boost to the championship whilst in at, as he was as divisive as they come.
  14. Thanks, mate. 👍 I admire your dedication to posting WIP threads. That level of commitment is beyond me. Always enjoy going through those.
  15. A piece of tape again can sometimes remove the residue, but be gentle as extra-sticky tape could pull off paint too. Failing that, polish or compound. Car wax if you don't have any scale model specific finishing products.
