I found it. It was lost but now it’s found. My mojo. I got hung up on this because I couldn’t get it as perfect as I wished I could. Then a train chappie showed me some stuff he’d done which was great and I realised I need to be happy with what I build - that’s all. As a “getting my head back into it” I put together some 1/144 aircraft. Not brilliant but I like them! Posted here for info - they have no role to play in my diorama (yet???).

I think you’ve done as well as cloud be expected. Kudos! -
Erik, Beacon Models do a range of 1/144 figures. Lovely little example here!

I recall pitching up at RAF xxxxxxx and heading in to ASF. The sight of a rigger on his way to a poorly Bucc with a sledgehammer over his shoulder to do some “straightening out” stays with me still! Lovely model, Colonel.

No Hurricanes? Hardly worth the effort. I suppose the photos are OK though. -

1/72 for me. I can’t be doing with all the detail in the bigger scales. I’ve done a 1/144 Hurricane (and a Camel, Tripehound and 109) which was great fun. A few more practices and I might get one worth displaying! But 1/72 my preference.

Quite right - can’t have too many Hurricanes. Shame it’s in the wrong scale. Still, nice model anyway!

I particularly like the dead one😵💫

I recently liked a Stirling by @Fred piket, and said I had a soft spot for them. Why? The Lancaster was “better”. I prefer a Hurricane to a Spitfire - come to think of it, I prefer a Fairey Battle to a Spitfire! I have a long list like this and I got to thinking - why does one aircraft beat another in one’s opinion? Obviously nothing to do with the fighting ability. Probably little to do with elegance of design. What is it? Does anyone else have this (is it strange, I wonder) predilection?
