  1. A real JU88 wouldn’t look as much like a JU88 as your JU88. Splendid!
  2. Way back when, iirc, Sherpas were for groundcrew, snazzy Ford Transits for the drivers? Liking it so far.
  3. Looks good. Got one on pre-order so won’t be disappointed!
  4. Many thanks for trying, Jerry. Appreciated.
  5. Many thanks, @stever219. I can cobble the codes and serials now from a set of 419 decals using spare letters and numbers. I don’t know, and would love to, whether or not VR*T had nose art. Regardless, I can make do with what I have.
  6. Thanks, Jerry. I found those, and I can get a sheet of letters as long as I know the size. I’m pretty sure 48” for the Sqn codes but I’d like that confirmed. Also the serials I’m not sure of.
  7. I intend building an RCAF Halifax, 419 Sqn, DT798, code VR*T. I’ve looked through Scalemates and no luck with this code, although there are other contemporary 419 offerings so I can do something as long as I can get generic letters and numbers. So, are the codes 48” and what size are the serial numbers? A real outside chance - would anyone have additional info (not available on a simple Google search, which I’ve done) relating to this particular aircraft? Many thanks in advance Bill
  8. I tried for two days with Tamiya tape. Got a couple of lines done but even with my big eyes on, couldn’t see the small areas. So I gave up. Found a set of pre cut from Peewit and ordered 2 (I have both Mark 1 Mosquitos).
  9. I have this set and as soon as I’ve finished my Mark 1 1/144 BOAC Mossie, I’ll be getting on with them. Lovely job.
  10. Great mind, eh? I’m doing this in 1/144. Masking the canopy has taken 2 days so far 😵‍💫 I’ll watch this with interest.
  11. Nothing spectacular but I’m well chuffed with some of this. Hurricane and Messerschmitt are Zvezda and the Camel and Fokker are from Valom. The Valom are lovely but small! Can’t really say much about the Zvezda; they seem to have been made as pieces/tokens for war gaming. Cant recommend the Beacon Models figures and building enough. They are really good with incredible detail. I’d like to see a good painter do these justice!
  12. I don’t normally comment on ships as I have no knowledge of them at all (seen the Battle of the River Plate a few times - does that count?). However now and again something comes along and really piques my interest. This is a lovely build of something I didn’t know the Rodney even had. I thought monitors came and went in the American Civil War. Congratulations on this👏👏👏👏
  13. Nice to see a 17 Sqn aircraft, and a nice job you’ve made of it.
  14. I’m happy ploughing on, but if there was a whip round to fund protection, count me in.
  15. If this doesn’t improve, I may have to consider a system upgrade! I don’t know - 50kbps has been fine for the past 25 years. I blame youngsters. I’ll miss that cheery whistling screech each time I log on though.
  16. If no one has mentioned it before, I’d like to see a Dixon Flyer. Someone did a set of the MMITfM aircraft - except that one.
  17. Amazing number, and all of a very good standard. Congratulations on the milestone. 3,500 by the end of next week?
  18. Learn to solder? Probably better if you learn to catch🤪🏏
  19. Next appearance should be on “grass” with at least one a/c and a few more figures. Might even have the hut.
